- After following in his family's footsteps, James Cadbury enters The Den in the hopes to secure a Dragon deal of £75,000 in return for a 5% equity stake in his company 'Love Cocoa'. It's a luxury handmade chocolate brand inspired by his great, great, great grandfather, John Cadbury. Despite discovering some flaws in James' business model as well as a potential lawsuit on the horizon, Peter Jones stands his ground and fights for the young entrepreneur. Can this new kid on the chocolate block bag a deal from our Dragons?

This is why Peter Jones has always been and will always be my favourite dragon. He’s the least afraid, he’s the most confident with his convictions and even though he’s a giant, he stands up for the minnows.

He didn’t do anything. Right after the discussion of how James had given away too much of his business, Peter grandstands with the silly legal bravado, then makes an offer to really punish James’ equity position. He knew James couldn’t possibly accept that- he wouldn’t have enough equity left in his own company. It was bull crap by Peter.

With all due respect you are failing to put that statement into context.
Peter saved Mr.Cadbury's pitch, which had he not done so it would have hurt Cadburys brand & made future investor's harder to come by.
He then reinforced Cadburys brand by pointing out solutions to the problems the other Dragons had brought up.
That one act alone added value to Mr.Cadbury's brand he wouldn't have even realized was there.
Peter would have been the better investor in my opinion. He, unlike the other Dragons, proved his value to Mr.Cadbury.
Just because something is cheaper doesn't make it the better value, that's a short sited way of thinking.

Apparently the deal fell off after the show but Tej and James parted ways in good terms. Love Cocoa is now worth £14million, and James is exporting to more than 10 countries.

Peter’s comments were on point, but to me what’s more impressive is Tej’s slick timing on dropping the percentage… he recognized James Cadbury feeling the pain of his diminishing company share and leveraged that intuition to clinch the deal. Bravo.

Reminds of the lawsuit between the singer Katy Perry (actual name Katy Hudson) and the Aussie clothes designer Katie Perry (actual name) over trademark. Singer sued designer for using her own name (it went in the designers favour) and then designer sued singer (for releasing her clothing line in Australia).

The surname was used in the branding therefore he cannot legally use it because his family sold it. The same thing happened to KFC, he sold his likeness and got sued for it in later on when he used it in another business.
I would love nothing more to see a David and Goliath story happen here between the big Cadbury's Company and James Cadbury. That would be incredible.
