I had to throw out my clay pots from Mexico. Pediatrician told me they have lead in them. Do you use lead free clay pots?
I get a little irritated with people spreading these type of lies. If you had your clay pots from your abuelita, then, yes, maybe they had lead. My clay pots are stamped by the artist with a certificate and guarantee they are lead-free. In addition, to me purchasing a lead kit to test. Just in case...I promise you I would never put my family in danger. Let alone poison them with lead.
@@Viewsontheroad I wasn't implying your pots aren't lead free. I loved my clay pots. My beans came out so much better and my brother made the best Palomas out of clay cups. Could you tell me where to purchase clay pots you use?
@@orchidbeauty7588 Yes, In Mexicali, Jalisco, and Oaxaca. Lately, I've been using the pots my mother purchased from the artisan M.B. Tonala Jalisco., MX. You must specify you are using the pots for food. Amazon sells lead detection kits you can take them with you at the time of purchase to test on-site🤗
@@Viewsontheroad Thank you!

I can't wait till it's fall, and you can go from making refreshing agua frescas, to warm & comforting atoles & champurrados! 😋🍂☕
@MAISA MENDEZ Yes girl, warm drinks & yummy tamales!
I love coffee De La Hoya thank you God bless you
I was born and raised in New Mexico. Until I started to watch your video's I thought I knew Everything about Mexican cooking. After watching I know nothing. I am so happy to learn new and wonderful receipts
Don't change !! Having you're sister with you is familia. I enjoy listening to you guys talk to each other. DON'T CHANGE !! Love watching & learning !!
Girl..... You NEED to make an E book and put all your recipes in there! You make our people proud!!!❤👌
Drinking cafe de olla when this popped up in my feed. Love all your videos. I live in Hawaii and Im part Mexican... My mom and Abuelita have passed. So Im learning a lot from youtubers like you. Thank you hermana for sharing and teaching us! Stay blessed! **Besos**
My ex is an alcoholic, he came from a family that drank excessively.. I was too stupid and infatuated with the man to see those issues when I met and married him. He destroyed me and the kids.. all my children started drinking early and all have issues now. I am not a drinker never was and talked all the time to them growing up not to let it get them but that shows you how seductive alcohol is. Thank you for saying something about drinking in your video. If it made one person stop and think than BRAVO...
When they say love is blind, they are not kidding. Listen to your parents bc they can see things one in love cannot. My ex's grandmother even warned me.
I just love your sisterly banter.i was an only child so I never was able to experience what you 2 have.
"You can make this with instant coffee if you want to"
Mexican abuelas: So you have chosen death
At first I thought you lived on an island when you said “When we get back to the island.” I was thinking *yasss I can’t wait to see which island it is*....... it was the center island of her kitchen this whole time 😂😂😂
I love this recipe!! I can’t wait to try it. 🤤🤤 I appreciate all your tips and tricks so much. Love you girls. 😇😇
Too funny!!😊😀😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
I thought the same thing, "the island".
I'm Puerto Rican and usually drink café con leche so I was a little hesitant to make this......... Girl..... This was so good. I didn't even need to add any milk. Even my husband who's very traditional and doesn't like to try new things, loved it. So far I haven't made anything you posted that I didn't like. Thanks
OMG I nearly fell off the couch and started screaming like a gallina culecka....my husband was like Alrightttt total fan girling. Thank you two for my shout out and as always, you two ladies are so talented and Claudia, you are such a talented director. I can't wait for Vlogmas oh yeahhhhhhh. All the love from San Antonio.
So my 21 yr old asked me to go to Sam's with her and we got a sample of watermelon lemonade and I told her "mines better 😜" and she said she made watermelon water. So my 9 yr old said "like that lady you watching on UA-cam" and my older girl said oh I got my water recipe from this lady with red hair and I just about peed my pants. We both found you at the same time. Love it 😍❤️
Sorry for the long story. Love you guys and yes San Antonio in the house 😁
Araceli! You gals make me proud to be on UA-cam. I love that this is a family thing. Love you & beautiful San Antonio❤️

Martinez Family lmao I do the same to my mother, amiga 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for all your recipes my boyfriend is Mexican american and I want to surprise him by making the food you guys make since hes living a few states away from his mom ❤❤ (I probably cant live up to his moms cooking but I'll try 😂)
Toni M The fact that you show interest in cooking for you babe is probably a gift in itself. I learned I can never have my mother in-laws hand in the kitchen but I do share a deep profound love for my husband that shines through my cooking. We all have our own twist on flavors amiga. You got this 🤗❤️
@@Viewsontheroad thank you so much what you said honestly gives me more confidence in the kitchen ❤❤

Ahy locas! I just gotta say loca pero con mucho amor! Very down to earth and detailed on everything. I’m in ND making my Mexican stuff and friends from here ask for recipe but I never measure anything so it’s hard to explain unless they’re here SOoOOoOo I sent them your videos!! 😂😂😂 especially for gorditas de maseca. Thank you guys for the fun, food and taking us back to our culture. I’m born and raised in Texas. The Rio Grande Valley And now I’m up in the other border to Canada. Nothing authentic Mexican here. Lots of hugs and blessings for you both and your families. 🥰🥰

Café de olla and a semi burned CORN tortillas tastes really good too.
Love the clay pots
I love u guys so much and have become better at cooking as well as eating lol but thank you for this videos I recently moved to Iowa from Richmond ca . away from my family and miss them so much and my culture so thank you for making my home feel full with all the good conversations lol
🤣🤣😂.....Love the ending! Thanks for taking the time to share.......I'm hoping this will help my coffee making skills, I rush alot so I usually just throw in my instant coffee as soon as my boiling water is removed from the flame. So I will try to be a little more patient and wait a minute before adding my coffee cause let me tell you there are some mornings where I'm like WTH! Definitely will be trying this recipe for my next family gathering......I'm married into a Mexican family so I truly appreciate what you share because I have soooooo much I want to learn. Thanks again Ladies!
Those are beautiful pots!
Oh, yeah! I need this in my life!!
San Antonio!
