Thank you for making this video! I am considering cutting Dish (cable) and going to the Hulu live TV (bundle). From what I see: Pro of Hulu live TV is the cost. Beats cable by $20+. Con of Hulu live TV is having to scroll through the channels and not being able to just enter the channel or do a search for the specific channel that I want to watch. I guess I can add them to ‘my stuff’, or eventually they’ll just appear as recent. Overall: Has all the channels we watch and then some. Cost is lower than cable! Pretty sure it also said it has unlimited recording.
@@kimberlyd3096 its nice not to rent a box for each place you want it though like dish and direct does. I love being able to sign in anywhere and not pay more

No there isn’t. After you watch enough certain channel it will add to the recent viewed channels though or show on the main Hulu screen to go to faster
They just added all local PBS stations. So they should also add BBC America, AMC, HBO channel, Religious channels, and some independent stations owned other than CBS, NBC, ABC, and Fox.

@@WeaverFamilyFarms just easier for me to search want I want look for on my phone... then pressing the up down buttons on the remote. It's like cable if you wanted to watch a certain channel just put the channel in then scrolling to it. That's how I look at it For example.. you want watch first take just type in first take in your phone and launch or casted from your phone. Basically your phone would be your remote instead of actually using the remote. Sorry for the paragraph 😅
I would love to browse the guide but still have what I'm currently watching up on the screen at the same time. I have a smart tv and when I go to my guide , it backs out of what im watching when I go to view guide. It's frustrating. Any recommendations?
That’s strange. In Roku devices it keeps playing what your watching in background while choosing. Do you have a Roku you can try it on? Probably just the Hulu UI for your tv

Is there an easy way to find a show, say, two weeks ahead at a certain time to record? THere doesn't appear to be a way to select a future date, only continue to arrow to the right until the date/day/time shows up.
Go to the guide if you know what it will be on and then use right arrow to go into future date or you can search show in the Hulu search and record series
I have Hulu live, but the lightning bolt that says live is not showing when I open the app from my tv. It’s only showing on my phone. Do you know how to fix this?
Yes it’s likely a Roku cache issue… you can delete the Hulu app from the Roku or whatever you use then reinstall and sign back in. That should fix it hopefully

Assuming you filled in your Area ZIP Code part of the set up, on your computer, go to the HULU + Live TV website and click on the network HUBS tab, and your local TV Networks along with all of the other Networks can be found when you go to the bottom of the HUBS page and choose the A to Z tab. You can now put into the Favorites folder your local channels and any of the other network channels you want. Now when you go to HULU + LIVE TV on your Smart TV or other device, just click on the Favorites Tab and choose Live TV.
I would love to know if there is a way to jump to the top of the guide. Say I'm on the ID channel and go back to the guide, I have to scroll all the way back up to the A's then back down to the last channel to check whats on. it is a bit annoying. I hope its something I'm missing.

Why are there no movie ratings on the movies? There should be in the description. But there is nothing telling me if things are rated r or other ratings. You have to go to the movie section to see any ratings. I want to be able to see the ratings without having to go there.
Does the remote actually make that annoying clicking noise every time the buttons are pushed? Looks pretty cheap if that is the case. And is there no button that will return you to the top of the guide without scrolling all the way up 1 channel at a time? If you hold the button down will it scroll faster?

We just bought this so we could get local channels, but we don't have any option to see local channels - which is the only reason we bought live tv and it doesn't even have that.
@@TheHaratashi make sure you have your zip code on your Hulu account profile correct then try to sign out and sign back in and your local offered channels should show based upon zip code. Hulu if you call them can also help you change it

Thanks. They will save to your recent list and you can browse just those but for now that’s all they have as far as I know
I was able to setup favorites for channels on the hulu website.

Only by going to the recent section which shows a few that you have recently watched. Down arrow then left to recent section

So far as it loading good? No issues but we do have fiber 110mbps which helps and that’s also more than enough

Different remote’s different sounds. Cheaper ones do click. You can hold down button faster scrolling yes
