Red and white paint scheme will remain. The track isn't really any narrower than it has been, just looks like it because the barrier is taller than the rails used to be. Their main goal was to leave the track as original as possible. Just no more cars flinging over the guard rails and possibly hurting the drivers and the fans. This will also allow them to bring other faster series cars like ARCA and Sprint Cars. The lighting system arrived today (12/16) and catch fencing should start going up tomorrow (12/17). The goal is for the main track construction to be completed by Christmas as the construction crew wants to return back to Florida for Christmas.
Isn’t this track flat? Ooh goody cold be as cold as that Bristol race, spent the two races just hoping the drivers wouldn’t crash & slow things down …. I’m from Michigan & the last New Years Day race I went to was like 20 years ago & only because I was the scorer & I had heat in the tower…. Come to think of it, people brought generators in & set up heaters … people fought to be in that area…
