      Yes in my ears it sounds better than the stock PUs and electronics.

      Originally V5 is a passive bass meaning there is no active electronics in it, whereas V7 is an active one. However, my V5 has been modified with EMG pickups which come with active electronics. So we can say my V5 is now an active one either. But of course the characteristics of the tone is different from the tone created by Sire active electronics.
