Hi Keith! aw it's nice of you to say, but this is the fun part!!! cancer is hard! I dont mind rain or anything. I'll take snow! wind. everything. I love life. Just so great to be out there again

Thanks Lou! such a sweet thing you wrote, finding joy in modest things, yes. Small things are not small at all, I'm just so thankful that I can get out and do things and enjoy it all xx
OMG Susanna!!!! As a recovering breast cancer patient myself I ride my Brompton around where I live (Miami-Fort Lauderdale area in South Florida the US) but YOU have blown me away with this journey!! Your 'snippets' of exercise would make most very healthy people pass out! I have downloaded this video to watch again and again, and to show to friends and family! You are AMAZING!!!! I am trying to get my head around the fact that you rode all the way from Stafford to Wales before even beginning your tour of Wales!! You did have me going for a minute at the very start of the video when it said you were riding in London and I thought, "Is she riding to Wales from London?!?!?" But after watching this I have no doubt you could have ridden from London to Wales, because I just had a peek at your other videos and Ooohhhh... I am so impressed I have goose bumps on my arms just typing this. Cycling through Holland? Sweden? Hong Kong??? 😲 I have subscribed, and as it's raining out I am going to spend the evening on my stationary bike in front of the TV watching your other videos. I'm sure l will download a lot of those too, so I will have a library of inspiration at my fingertips even if our Internet goes down (we do get hurricanes here, but I have generator power so even without Internet I can still watch downloaded videos on my TV because the computer is connected to it)! Hi Donna! aw thanks for the lovely comment, glad you liked the film! Hope you enjoy the rest of them haha! I love making them, choosing music and stuff, nice. Yeh on this Wales ride I had thought of riding from London like you say, cos I thought that would be nice, riding door to door is always kind of satisfying. But it was really snowy with Met Office warnings and everything, so I shortened the trip, and booked a train ticket, cos I saw that the snow was going to melt so the roads would be clear, but still be snowy on the hills and look fantastic. I really wanted to see that. And as you saw it was a bit wet and cold and windy! But it all worked out great. Aw sorry to hear about your cancer. Hope your recovery going well and hope you're having lots of good bits this weekend. Sounds great that you are out there on your bike too! Thank you for watching and for the lovely comment! But if not then doing a "cooking ride" like that will mean you got one big part of doing an adventure nicely under your belt, so when you do head out on an overnight trip, you know you can easily rustle up a lovely meal... Hi Miriam!! aw yes already getting over the Berwyns day 2 was such a good feeling, like yay, I can! the next day the wind was just terrible and that was quite scary actually, but then day four when I was riding past that gorgeous lake on the way to the last pass, I felt soooo good, and so chuffed that - four days in - I felt so strong... Cos then I knew it was all gonna be OK, and I just loved it all, the climbing and everything. Love the feeling of being strong enough to deal with whatever comes, what a joy. I admire your bravery continuing on that journey with everything the Welsh weather threw at you. I would have given up! Thank you for taking us on your journey. The Welsh countryside is beautiful.
Hello Susanna, It was fabulous to see that you achieved the ride in some challenging conditions... it's a real springboard confidence wise to take on some more challenging adventures after your illness. See you on the next one. Take care. Paul,,
Aw thanks for the great comment - you put it so well, yes confidence-wise, that ride was a real springboard. Now I know that it works! I mean it works to do lots of bits of what seems sometimes like pretty feeble exercise... Often think meh I dont want to do HIIT or go out on a little run... but yeh, brilliant, the payoff is brilliant. And actually the little bits of exercise make me feel good straight after too. Nothing is guaranteed is it but I will keep at it and hope I keep at this level or better. Right oh dear better go out on a walk haha. Here I am sitting around. Hope you are doing OK!
Soooo glad you are well enough to do such an epic trip. only 35 miles each day she says. ,!! I was relieved when you stopped and got a warm bed for the night when the weather was at its worst. Bravo, bravo! I loved seeing Wales from a warm 20C degrees here in Australia, as I recover from covid. Just the medicine I needed. Thank you for the beautiful voyeuristic travel log. You are truly inspirational.

Thank you for sharing your adventure, especially putting in the effort of filming yourself and then going back for your camera, i know those moment 😄. Fantastic film ❤ you made it!
Susanna, all my admiration to you for braving some cold and not ideal weather at the start! Humbly taking nutrition advice from a road cyclist after having done Hong Kong to England too... I cycled in Snowdonia many years ago on a mountain bike and I recognised that climb from Bala as well as Snowdonia itself; such a lovely area with amazing landscapes. Mostly, happy to see you are back in shape, sharing more wonderful rides with us.
aw thanks Gianni, yeh soggy snow, cold, rain, and esp the gales not ideal haha. Hey ho! I dont mind really! I am just so happy to be out and about again. And I'm looking forward to see your next adventure! 🙋♀️
Hi Susanna, wow! I stumbled across your channel on my feed, I am a pretty experienced bikepacker and my feed has lots of bikepacking stuff I watch, so no surprise. The Bikepacking on a Brompton caught my eye and intrigued me. I loved this video and have now subscribed and will be going back through your catalogue Sweden, Hong Kong and the shorter stuff, mind blown, love your philosophy and hardcore attitude. The weather looked miserable in lots of this video but you kept on going and smiled. It exemplifies the quote I have tattoed on my forearm "Attitude is the difference between an ordeal and an adventure", something I try to live by. Plus the videos give me a taste of home being English but living in Australia. Thanks for some inspirational content. - Matt
Hi Matt! thanks for the lovely comment! aw yeh the weather was a bit mixed on this ride but I dont mind, just glad and grateful to be able to get out there again. Sounds like a good motto you have on your arm. Thanks for watching! hope you enjoy some of the other films too!
Lovely film Susannah. Well done on completing it and battling the elements. You are really very hardy and resilient to contemplate camping in March in UK. Impressive!
Truly inspirational video. Loved it! I've cycled around there and know how tough those climbs are, but in those weather conditions and on a fully loaded Brompton...fantastic achievement! Well done 👏
Aw glad you liked it! I feel like I was really lucky to see those roads with pretty much nothing on them apart from me. SO beautiful. loved it loved it loved it. I enjoy watching the video myself to remember it all haha. Thank you for writing!

Aw thanks David! I was curious about your photography gallery, so I just had a nice look around your website. Wow so BEAUTIFUL! love how to get the light through the clouds and on the water and everything, gorgeous
Loved loved loved! What an adventure. Nothing cozy about this one. Seeing you all alone on your Brompton slicing your way through cold and wet mountain passes was epic! I could not be happier for you to be out riding again. I hope you share a few of your travels with us.

Hi from Ireland.. Epic journey in those conditions. Well done and thanks for posting.
I admire your bravery continuing on that journey with everything the Welsh weather threw at you. I would have given up! Thank you for taking us on your journey. The Welsh countryside is beautiful.
your content is art. your art gives me hope. thank you!
Hello Susanna,
It was fabulous to see that you achieved the ride in some challenging conditions... it's a real springboard confidence wise to take on some more challenging adventures after your illness.
Excellent video.. thank you..
You're an inspiration 🚵♂
How lovely, I've just come in from a little ride on my Brompton on Anglesey to find your amazing & inspirational video. Thanks.
Hi David! Oh nice, sounds great out for a spin there!
Aw sorry to hear you are battling covid Carolyn, hope you are feeling better soon. Thanks for the lovely comment! x

Another great adventure was cold watching it lol ….have binge watched most of your films over the past few days …brill channel 👍🏻❤️🚴
Lovely video as usual Suzanna, thank you 🙂
Brilliant, what an amazing trip. And I really enjoy seeing people visiting my home area with such enthusiasm. Sorry about some of the weather though. We don’t cycle in it much! 🙂👍

Great video, and great background music. Many thanks, much appreciated. 🙂
Hello! thank you! Hope you're doing OK! Yeh I liked those tracks, esp the one about being in the fast lane haha
Susannah, I have just found your UA-cam channel and I just want to say you are an amazing, inspirational, lady. I am sitting in my warm house on my cosy sofa watching you brave the Welsh hills and mountains. I live on Anglesey myself, so know the area very well, having walked many times in the mountains. I doff my woolly hat to you. Hope you are keeping well and look forward to catching up with you on your next adventure. Oh, and you dad is wonderful too….i can see where you get your adventurous spirit from❤️
Aw Janette thank you for the lovely comment! doffing my grey woolly hat to you! Dad says hello! no woolly hats on Dad though, he is too smart haha. He brings a comb along when cycling actually. I clearly did not inherit any of the smartness genes haha. Thanks for watching! Wishing you miles of glorious mountain walking!
