Tank testing carp fishing rigs. Surprising winner!

A rig tying session to work out which type of rig would be most suited to my upcoming session to Yeadon tarn. Ronnie Rig vs Combi rig vs coated braid rig. SURPRISE WINNER! In tank footage of all the rigs.

To be honest Casting out a rig is a Lot different than putting it in straight down in a tank!

I agree mate, won’t always be perfect conditions! Gives an interesting comparison all the same. What is your ‘go to’ rig?

I would fish a Ronnie rig with a stiff fluorocarbon boom together with a pva bag

Super popular rig and catches lots of fish! Ideal if you know you’re over a clean lake bed. I’m loving the coated braid rig at the moment, super confident in it with either a wafter or bottom bait.

Thought a Ronnie rig was suppose to be fished with a pop up

@@darrenwilliams8162 yes it is mate generally, but is also effective with a wafter. Main requirement is to fish it over a clean, non weedy / silty bottom. Thanks
