They didn't call him Hylo (hi-low) Brown for nothing. Classic high lonesome sound for "Working on a Building." Thank you to all who have painstakingly preserved these clips and posted them for viewing.
Earl did have quite a few Bow ties throughout his life. I believe this was well after he had the bow tie neck on his Granada that would up warping. It could be, but I believe that was earlier on than this.
Man, they were the real deal! Don't get no better!
Exactly what I would say! It literally doesn't get any better does it??

I remember stumbling upon this Grand Ole Opry show in my early days. Nothing quite like it anywhere!
....been eagerly awaiting this! Thanks so much for preserving these priceless and timeless classic shows! Bluegrass Forever!
They got one more batch in them boys
I sure miss these old boys....so fine!
I'd love to have that "Hot Rize" sign.
Yup, the great ones.
Earl playing the ole granada with the bowtie neck 🤣🤣

That’s not Earl’s Granada!! 😅
He picked the splinters out of it, whatever it was. RIP Mr. Scruggs.
Yes, it is. He had had a new neck put on it with that silly looking inlay pattern. He said he didn't like it much after a while.

@@bigmrclean Maybe you're right. Is there any info on this clip that dates it? Thank You.
@@dandeprop This would've been around 1962, after Curly Seckler left the band and a few years after Earl got the J.W. Gower neck put on his Granada
