- How To Make A Handbag Corsage / How To Attach To A Clutch Bag
It’s a dilemma - how to attach a corsage to a handbag, especially a clutch bag. Well, in this video we not only show you how to create a bag design, but also how to attach it using a wire behind. We talk about other options, but the wire gives you total security in how it is attached. Why not have a go, and create your own unique corsage for taking to your next big event.
Ingredients - miss piggy roses, green eustoma or lisianthus, salal leaves, French ruskus, asparagus fern and ivy leaves

I love that charity shop bag. Love y?the large roses too.
Thank you 🤩
Great video, I never knew that corsages could be used on purses.
It used to be very popular but not so much now - but worth knowing for something different! 😀
I did do one wedding where the mother of the bride wanted a corsage on her clutch bag. Hers was an Oroton mesh bag. Wish I had seen this video. I had only seen them in old American movies mainly and of course in bridal magazines. However, after much tongue biting, swearing, blood and tears I managed to secure a rosebud corsage to her bag. Thank goodness. Only ever had the one request. Might have got better with more practice. Looking forward to the wrist corsage video. Wish I had seen that one too because the mother of the groom wanted one. Did get a stretch pearl bracelet from wholesaler and did manage it. Same routine as for the clutch bag.
Thank you 😊 yes, these can be a bit of a problem solving mission. Bags can be so different, and there are some which are nearly impossible to add a flower and still use the bag!
That’s where it’s good to have a few methods up your sleeve to be honest. I still open to learning more options! Same for wrist corsages - there are so many ways to attach these. 😊
Glad you got sorted 😀🌼🙋🏼♂️
Such a lovely rose color. It's amazing how some roses last so well as corsages.
Thank you 😊 a rose is good in a corsage
Really pretty
Another brilliant idea! thank you John.

Have you tried using Elastic band.. like the kind for wrist corsages. I would get some from a fabric store they come in many colors and you can cut to length for the bag. I done this for many years.
Julie Tataryn that is a great idea. I haven’t heard of that but I can see it would work well. 😀
Great tutorial, full of helpful tips/ suggestions. The magnets mentioned are really strong and more than one could be used if worried about the design staying in place. However, it’s much cheaper to use wire as John suggested. I was wondering if the same method of attachment would work on hats ?
J * now that is where I would be inclined to use a magnet, or a wire attachment like on the wrist corsage.
Would you consider doing a design for placing on a hat?
Might be a wonderful application for silks, as well.
❤❤

Was the flowers wired
Yes - wired and taped. We have a video on how to wire flowers and another on leaves, so with this we started with them wired and taped 😀🙋🏼♂️
Are these real flowers? If so, what keeps them from dying?
They are real flowers. And they will die - but if created on the day or the day before an event, they will fine for a special event. So a design like this is generally used at a wedding.
Do the flower material needs to be well hydrated and the taping of the stems nice and firm - this also helps them last longer . 😀🙋🏼♂️🌼
Ерунда, быстро завянет. Надо было пиафлор использовать
Клара Крюченкова спасибо за комментарий и просмотр
Why did you have to quickly establish that the handbag wasn't yours? Who cares if it was?
This is true 😀
