Thanks for doing the review. This is a whisky that grows on you. There is a lot of character and complexity in it. 7 years back it was just 4500 for a litre bottle after which the price shot up.

Suggestion: whenever you open a new bottle Try to get the "opening bottle cork sound" as clear as possible..... I feel it could be made as equivalent as pulling a screen protector of a new iPhone - 💁🏻 🤷🏻

You mentioned Laphroaig's smokiness as being medicinal, which is exactly what I felt. Lagavulin's smokiness reminds of seawater and brine. If I dare be more precise, it tastes like licking the rocks on a seaside.

It is best to buy it from duty free. Bought this from the UK duty free for 45 pounds which is about INR 4050. Definitely one of the best whiskey.

I desperately tried to get a miniature of Lagavulin in the UK.. Sadly heard that they stopped the 5cl miniatures so I could not add it to my miniature collection in India. the 700 ml bottle is available here in the UK for less than 50 GBP. UK Duty-free me aap ko 46 GBP me mil jayega. India me like all the good malts this is ridiculously priced.
If you like smokey whiskey aap ek baar Bunnahabhain 12 try karna ,, Dewane banjaoge. Ralfy ke advice pe Maine try kiya that and now that is my favorite. Natural colour without any chill filtration. aapko 1 litre nehi milega you will have to rely on a 700 ml only.
