I tried Nirvana & brilliance.both are having great taste than typical blended scotch whisky. I liked very much 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
My first Indian single malt. This is something else. I enjoyed it every bit. Drank neat most of the times . Also nice with some Spring water( not Mineral water) like Fuji water available in supermarket

No added colour or flavour in Paul John.
Yes frd Paul John is amazing very high in quality tried bold and edited. Edited is awesome. I had already tried some good bourbons, scotch single malts like Glenmorengee etc.
Indian weather is not only having weather like Goa, Bangalore or any other Indian state with heat and humidity , we forget our states H.P , J&K and Uttara Khand which can be weather wise Scotland of India suitable for ageing whiskey and may also provide peat for smoking and Oak for Cask. Thanks for the video.

It is a very very good product. I recently tried edited version mix of peated and unpeated one. Amazing taste and I like it more than talisker 10. Smooth although 46% abv. I drink whisky neat and so smooth.
I tried bold and trust me it was very smooth
I had this in 2013 now price had increased, i bought this bottle @ 1900 rs.... great taste....

Wowww !!! Was looking forward to Paul John review. This is perhaps the best golden nectar produced in India (No offence to Amrut plss. Amrut is more senior and equally my favourite but Paul John has captured my heart recently)

Climate ka ek bahut bada influence hai Paul John mein. Coastal region mein whisky thoda aur spicy bana deta hai.
Really good whisky and it’s a great start by Jhon’s distillery who made scotch manufacturers eyebrow raised it’s really complex and challenging to manufacture such a great whisky in this hot climate unique den scotish whisky it’s a proud thing in the field of whisky by India
Hi Manish. I bought 3 editions of Paul John. Brilliance, Bold and Edited. Have tried Brilliance. Price in Chandigarh is 2000. Opened first brilliance as I saw this video long time back. Thanks for recommendation.

Imported whiskies have duty of 150% which pushes their price up 2.5 times. Why are Indian whiskies (real ones) so expensive despite not having any duty except excise?

@@hailcaeser6902 During the aging process (in which whisky is stored and aged in barrels to develop complexity and flavour), some amount of spirit is lost due to evaporation (this evaporated spirit is said to have been given to the angels, hence 'angels share'). Since Scotland has a temperate maritime climate with mostly cool weather year-round there is not much loss due to evaporation (1.5 - 2% per year) hence they can age their single malts for long periods of time (12+ year aged scotch single malt is very common). India has a hot, tropical climate so evaporation losses are much higher (can be as high as 12% per year). To make up for these losses the Indian companies need to charge higher price for their whisky, and Indian single malts are also usually only aged for a couple of years. Although it is still cheaper than many imported single malts because of high importation taxes in India.
Pot Still Whisky is always more expensive as column still (industrial) Whisky. You need more grain you need more money to maintain more time to clean the pot stills and get lesser alcohol as on column stills.
Imported Single malts are way too expensive than Indian single malts.Blended scotch whiskies are equivalent in price to Indian Single malts.

Bro, you are doing a good job especially for men ! I have a suggestion...not everyone wish to drink whiskey or scotch straight....hence it would be great if you can suggest a mixer.. could be just ice, water, soda/water, Ginger Ale or coke.

One more question how much old aged this whiskey, besides of Scottish 3 years aged whiskey
Master blender of Paul john Michael D'souza explained in one of his videos that whiskeys are matured for 4 years as the whiskey matures faster in goa's environment, the majority flavours are extracted in these years , if they were to be matured like scotch for let say 12 or 15 years there will be no whisky left to sell. Goa's 4 years are easily equivalent to 12 -15 years of scotch whisky maturation
India should consider creating more single malts and become self reliant and dependency on foreign brands. India is one of the biggest consumer 4 out of top 10 consumed spirits come from India. I see hope now, when channels like yours are bringing awareness about the Spirits and making Indian consumers aware about the various products. Keep up the good work. Big Thumbs Up. 👍👍

I had tasted many indian brands .indian brands has average taste but gives more kick than other brands.Also indian brands r not costly .we can afford it.whisy with ice and coke makes better than taking neat.

Got this Whisky for ₹2900 from Jagdish wine shop Gurgaon 😉 which was supposed to be sold only in Chandigarh as per the tag printed on the box .
In Australia it’s very expensive almost double the price
I have tried many whiskies of the world. I have had nearly 25 bottles of Amrut Fusion too - it is a damn good whiskey. But with Paul John Brilliance i think i have found my whiskey. One word - orgasmic. Oh the emotions as you swirl it in your mouth, the notes on the palate, the burn. Its just tooo good. This is the Mercedes Benz of whiskies. It is indescribable. I totally agree with this review that it is 10/10
Now im trying Paul John Bold and i would like to announce that for my taste, Bold is the winner. I love smokey whiskies and Bold does wonderful things to me

What's your advice on whiskey collection from around the world? It sounds quite silly for me if I go on purchasing imported whiskey from local retailers at sky high prices. Only way I can get them is from duty free zones, but then it's not every now and then that you travel abroad. Also only two bottles are allowed at the airports. One option is to ask every known person to me to purchase for me whenever they go abroad. But that too can offend them. Is there any other way?

Fusion ko Paul John edited se compare karo. Fusion is slightly peated so as edited. Edited is better than fusion. So as brilliance

They are importing peat and American white oak barrels and their abv is also higher 46% and 57% so you get more whiskey when you add water. Thanks
For 2000, you get a blended scotch. This is a single malt. Single malt scotch are not cheap.
