If this seems too complicated, maybe try the mTravel 2 plugin from Motion VFX! Heres a link! (Affiliate Link) :

BTW Fun fact: Motion VFX are from Poland, the work and create south of the country :)
I'm from Carribean so watching this video it's kind of a reward for me LMAO
I'm so glad that I found your channel guys. *Midland Pictures* referred us to your channel, that was really nice of him.
Wow - yet again you made my brain melt...
Finally! Reason to load up motion again. 👏👏
Oooooooh Yeahhhhhhhhhh 👊
Thanks for this. I made something similar to this before but thought it was missing somethings. How the camera and line. Also I like the red circle in overlay. How I didn’t realize how to make those are beyond me.
Been using your tutorials for projects I have been doing but most of your videos are in a make this playlist so I can sit down and work on these when I have time. Hands on is the best way for me to learn.
Thanks for helping me up my game always!
That's awesome! Glad you have a playlist to go back to. I am 100% the same way. I have to learn hands on or I don't retain anything at all. Appreciate you watching as always Bryant!
Very helpful. The simple way you link camera and invisible rectangle is especially helpful.
So much good stuff in this video dude! You mentioned so many things in Motion that I was unaware off! Keep these Motion tutorials going dude 😄👊🏼
Motion is way more massive than I think anyone realizes. Thanks for your support my dude! 👊
@@TheFinalCutBro 100%! You’ve shown me so many things that I didn’t know it was capable of. 👏🏼
Motion Mondays gives me a reason to look forward to Mondays!
That's what I love to hear! Cause Mondays SUCK. 😂
Great explainer again, Dylan. I really like the pace. Great contact. I learned a lot today!
Love hearing this. Thanks Peter!
Great tutorial, thank you. Very easy to understand and very helpful.
Fantastic - thanks very much for this! Will give this a go!
Incredible incredible stuff man! You're doing so much for the Motion community. Keem em' coming! 👊I was stoked to see you promoting MotionVFX as well 😊
I’m a MotionVFX shill now. They’ve got me in their back pocket.
Bro have you seen that new guy they hired to make their tutorials and stuff? He could seriously be your twin. Definitely a doppelgänger.
@@TheFinalCutBro That is my twin...I never told you. That's Bylan. Weird name I know. I think my parents were high when they named him.
Fantastic lesson!!!Grazie!!You are a great teacher
Thanks so much! Appreciate that Lavinchi!
great tips! I'm going to try and make one of these!
Your videos are amazing! Thank you so much !
Thanks! How do you only have 9k views!? This was super helpful. Keep it up!
0:12 Because the pin is in the center od Poland it means that it's in the little town called Piątek (Friday) which is known as the center of this country :)
That's awesome! I heard Motion VFX is based out of Poland!
@@TheFinalCutBro Seriously? 😮
Great!!! Thank you so much!
Thank you for watching!
Thank you 🙌🙌🙌
Thank YOU for watching my friend! 👊
Awesome & Thanks :)
Lolll. Is this man aware that his arrow tells a reality 😂😂
Interesting note about that deviant art map is that it’s a composite of satellite images taken on cloudless days. I had the original hanging on my wall until I ended up giving it away.
This is the exact tutorial I've been waiting for?
The time has arrived.
Can you make an updated tutorial on his new maps where he highlights boundaries around certain countries like he does in his Russian missiles video?
The country in the center of the caribean its my country Dominican Republic!
Nice. Motion: All makes sense. Not intuitive. Staggering flexibility.
Thank's for this awesome video! That was exactly what I was looking for!
Just one question... The camera seems to zoom in a bit too far into the rectangle. It's no big deal but it would be awesome to know how to fix this!
Hey Johannes, appreciate you watching!
There are some “framing offset” options within the framing parameter. You could set your offset to be a bit further back from the rectangle, and that should hopefully help!
Great tutorial! I've done animated maps before, but I did it in a more complicated way :( BTW Your red dot was actually in Argentina.
Hah! I am clearly more gifted at using Motion than I am with geography 😂 Glad this was helpful Thanks for watching!
Great video and information. Could you offer a version without the remove-silence? My mind likes the normal small pauses as you move from item to item/thought to thought.
I am trying to make Hawaii to New Zealand but it goes through Africa Is there a way I can just get the map to stay in Polynesia. I have been traveling extensively there. Do you know how?
Hehe.. M chip macs wont suffer. They are extremely capable.
Your circles are in Argentina
What about like a Hiking trail that i want to animate can the plugin help me do that? I will probably need to load a picture of the hiking trail map i guess
For this type of stuff I have been using Google Earth and then I just record my screen
Definitely a great method! The only downside being, you would have to motion track your animations on to your video rather than just building it all together. Also Google has a pretty strict stance on filming Google Earth for commercial use. So you wouldn't be able to use that method for a paid project. But still super clever!
nice tutorial: home made and also the plugin way.
Is it possible, in motion to put the map on a more rounded surface to mimic the earth shape and add some depth in the animation?
Thanks for watching! You might have some luck if you dig into the distortion filters in Motion. They have a “sphere” filter and a “fisheye” filter that might work for you! Also a “tiny world” filter.
Might be worth playing around with some of those!
Final cut bro come you show us how to make energy effects like stuff from anime
Definitely a great idea! This isn't perfect, but might get you started in the right direction. - ua-cam.com/video/MqIn1Sh8tw0/v-deo.html
@@TheFinalCutBro thank you so much
perfect! so many learnings in this tutorial. i made same things far too complicated… thank you! btw: is there a possibility to import shapes (i.e. a route) from affinity designer?
So I have Affinity Photo, but I don't have Affinity Designer... yet 😂 -- I haven't been able to test that out. However, I do know you can import vector images into Motion! This tutorial from the guys at Ripple Training does an excellent job of breaking it down! - ua-cam.com/video/PR-C5IqrvjU/v-deo.html
Hey Dylan just wondering how did you transfer the effect into Final Cut to Motion but have a thumbnail with it is there a trick for that?
If you go up to file > share > export movie - you can export the video! I just made some changes in motion before exporting over to FCP for the final edit. The thumbnail I just made completely separately in Affinity Photo.
Thanks for watching! 👊
Awesome tutorial!! Well done! I'm looking for something a little different. I want to create an animation travel path using road maps. I want to be able to follow the roads precisely with curves and so forth. I do have FCPX along with a 16" MacBook Pro M1 Max. Do you know of a great way of doing this? Thanks again for your awesome tutorial. Happy New Year to you and yours!! 🥳👍😊
Hey Rapa! Thanks for watching. You could use the pen tool to draw lines on the roads. It might take some time depending on the complexity of the roads, but then once you have the road outlined, you can go up to the behaviors menu. There is a "write on" behavior under shape, that can animate the line being drawn on really quickly for you. And I believe you can set the speed and such all within the parameters menu on the left.
Hope that helps! Apologize for the delayed response to your Q.
@@TheFinalCutBro Thank you for your help.... I will definitely look into doing as you described. Thanks again, I sincerely appreciate it. 👍😊
maybe I missed something but when the map moves my text moves with the camera, how did you get it to stick to the "carribean" and not move to Chile?
please anyone that knows what I did wrong help....I cannot figure out how the text stuck to the spot on the map for him and for me it follows the camera to the end point
Hey thanks for watching! My best guess is that your text managed to have the 3D aspect disabled. If you select your text, in the layers panel you’ll see a small button with some rectangles in different sizes on the right side. If you click that, it will turn into several different planes stacked on each other. That will mean they are in 3D then!
Hope that makes sense! It’s a little hard to explain without photos.
If I were to buy mTravel2, can I use my own maps? If not, how detailed are the supplied maps? I want an map app for my local travels, says 20 square mil radius
Yes you can! They have drop zones, so you can import your own images, and it will apply the animation accordingly!
Does Apple Motion have a plugin like Geolayers 3? I'm trying to fill the borders of a specific country as they transition from one country to another. Similar to the link below
ua-cam.com/video/OgC4-mKje9U/v-deo.html
This will make so many people uncomfortable lol
First viewer
nice work mate!! Could you export that then bring it into the timeline on finalcut?
You most definitely can! If you go up to the share menu, you can export it and then just drop that in Final Cut Pro! You could also publish parameters and turn it into a plugin of sorts. Thanks for watching!
This video is worth a couple million Dogecoin
