You can really tell how much their songwriting changed after Reign of Darkness became a hit. Less technical and flashy, more odd time chugging with eerie dissonant leads. It’s obviously worked for them really well. But I do kinda miss the writing style of Infinite Death and The Adversary

2015: Mix of 2008 with a dash of 2012 and a hint of bleghs.
2017: Pure headbang material. Groovy but you can barely hear some of it.
2019: Reminds me a bunch of Slipknot if they were also Analepsy.
I have no idea how you correlate Analepsy with Thy Art but sure

Just saw them the last 2 nights in Melbourne for the 10th anniversary of Hate tour. They are such an incred band, this was such a cool homage to them cause andy you definitely learned everything and played it to perfection

The weird thing about TAIM is that it's an oddly identifiable style they have, and they've recently been going for really meaningful songs about our world, instead of, well, Wh*re to a Chainsaw.

I only recently got into deathcore and all that. With Human Target i definitely hear the Behemoth influence a lot more which is great because they're one of my favourite bands

idk feels to me more like they evolved up to the Hate album. then kinda sat there for a bit, some songs evolving but most devolving. Still like their songs alot but idk, the Hate album i feel was their peak. Though i love puppet master, one of my favourite rifts.

Infant Annihilator have too much fast shred riffage which aint the stuff Andrew likes to play. Have you heard Three Bastards yet? It sounds like a serious hybrid of Rings of Saturn and Berried Alive, it's god tier playing wise.

they went from groovy death metal, to groovy brutal death metal, then 2 albums of chuggy but interesting riffs, then 2 albums of chuggy and repetitive songs. cool band tho

Biggest difference is letting the notes breath more as the albums progressed. Personally I don't like early TAIM, not for more me but the more melodic stuff has , Hate onwards
