When I was a kid that was part of the site of the old Rosehall Brickworks where we used to play, once Rosepark Cottages was built they had a few swings and a chute which were used by lots of the local kids along with the playground at Ellismuir Street /Carmyle Place and the one between Woodhall Avenue and Netherhouse Avenue.
CCTV is everywhere so there should be a camera there too. Along with large trash bins to keep the place clean. Once the kids are found they / their parents need to be prosecuted / fined so it shows how serious it is. Just letting it go doesn't teach anything to anyone except they can get away with it if they just say sorry. Also maybe some funds spent on youth groups would help this problem. Kids don't have anything to do after school or during the summer so they get bored and turn to this. It won't stop the problem completely but it will offer kids something constructive to do rather than be destructive.
So sad to see yet another community space ruined by mindless vandals
