So nice of you to say this, Kathy 😘 Thank you for watching this more vlog style video. I want to do more of these but want to make sure it's always something that will still be educational and interesting to you.
What a lovely video, the best part for me was the look of character & atmosphere in the rooms & to see Jerry cooking past your lovely table with wine & candles, TY for sharing!
00:48: One day, I walked into Bed, Bath and Beyond and found a bathroom organizer. The over the toilet standing type. I quickly measured the unit and determined it would fit into my sedan. Of course, I was wrong. I loved the piece so much, I drove home (35 minutes), with the driver's seat completely reclined, so the unit would fit. I told myself this is where my Pilates training came in handy, and kept my back straight as possible, radio blasting, singing all the way home😂
What a fun memory!!! I love it and it made me smile just imagining what that must have been like. Ohmygosh the part I left out because I didn’t have the video of it was that I forgot a drawer! Haha 😂 I had to go back and get it!
Isn’t beautiful?! We’re keeping this baby for the rest of our years. Btw his food is soooo good. Too good! Sometimes I’m like a kid with no control stuffing myself 😂
Thanks so much Melanie! I keep thinking about those lions. If they’re still there next time we go back I’ll get them. We still have many things on our purchase list and lions were not initially one of them-now they were hahah. I just love the look of lions so much! Also thank you for the positive encouragement on the tray! 😘
You got it!!! Also some butter-he loves butter this guy! Why is it that everyone in the restaurant industry loves butter so much? Oh and olive oil! The pleasures of being married to a restauranteur. Before him I didn’t each a variety of food really. A huge pot of lentils with Moroccan spices was enough to suit me everyday for the week. Now I eat so many different things. I’m also inspired by him and started baking again. I’ll have to share with you-also when I venture into making my own pasta!
@@ChristinaDiStefanoStudio Butter is the foundation for most quality recipes…at least, that’s what all my cooking show videos demonstrate and tell us🤭. I am looking forward to you adding culinary additions to your videos. Against the backdrop of your lovely home, that will be fun to watch. Thank you for your informative and entertaining vlogs😊
I think you're right CD :D It is a nice warm camel and yes, I LOVE THIS TABLE. Worth the investment and that thing is so heavy it's not going anywhere soon.
Sweet video...Always looking for a bit of velvet and vintage. My cats do not like anything faux so that could work on my couch. Love PB for their linen drapes and everything for the bed...good quality and reasonably priced. Prefer the coffee table w/o the tray. Chicken looked delicious!
Hi Celine! Yes PB does have lovely linens and they also have gorgeous drapes. I think "Velvet & Vintage" sounds like a lovely shop--you could be on to something... I think eventually the coffee table is going to just be a table with a big beautiful candle in the middle. It's like a gorgeous dress that needs no accessories--except a classic pair of earrings.
Oh thank you, Toby! You do get me, luv. It's she just the cutest?! I'm having fun making this little house a home. Also having a limited budget is bringing out the creativity in me. Appreciate your kind words babe. XOXOCD
my advice is, get the lions. They are timeless classics. In case you needed my advice 😂😂😂Love the kitchen dresser, I have a big teak one from India. So darned useful, and so aesthetically pleasing! And definitely the Wyatt print. It definitely deserved a beautiful matte as well as a lovely antique gold frame! Looks like you had fun, the chicken looked delish, and Jerry seems nice! When are you getting a nice Labrador or Golden Retriever dog to complete your home? 😁
Ha! Lisette! I’m waiting on Nina to arrive-this is my future dog’s name ❤️ Actually truth be told, I’m hoping to leave my full-time job in the city in the next 1-2 years and work from the house. The first thing I’m going is go get a puppy! PS Yoir kitchen dresser sounds so pretty!! Also those lions! I definitely going back. Loved those guys!
Jennifer we are on the same wavelength! I was just telling Jerry that he should be on the videos more often to share his cooking and I then will share the recipes! Coming soon :)
Hi Nachi! It's my pleasure and so happy you enjoyed the video. Honestly I had no idea this place existed until four months ago and then we had so set aside time to really go through it all. I found it on google maps and perhaps there is one somewhere near you. It was a great place but I like the hunt and I love to find a treasure (AKA a good deal).
I knew I was in trouble when you were driving through Pound Ridge.🤔 When you reached Mongers, my sensibilities really began to waver - always worth the trip, but it's late on Sunday and they'll close soon.😮 Reason finally kicked in and I just vicariously enjoyed your outing and you didn't have to set a third place for dinner. Thanks, Christina 🤗
That was fun! You gave me several ideas for finding vintage pieces. If I could just find the same things in San Diego lol. Gerry is a real natural in front of the camera ;-)
Awww thanks! I'll let him know you said that ;) He's so shy I for too the camera so this will make him feel good! I hope you find a good place in SF. This is the same for NYC. We don't have any good vintage shops there. Everything gets picked up so fast. I like the undiscovered places best--i.e. places that decorators don't know about!
Y’all made me smile at the end! I love New England so much. There really isn’t any other place that has the same feeling! My sister went to Yale, and I took a temporary RN job at Yale New Haven Hospital just for something to do while I was unmarried and in my 20s. My husband and I discussed retiring in NH or ME, but we instead went to AZ. Sometimes I’m very sorry, but not when you’re waist-deep in snow! lol
Oh yeah the snow up here! NYC seems to be sheltered from it most of the the time but we get a lot out in the country. I love it though but I don't have to shovel it lol! My brother moved to AZ a couple years ago with his family and loves it. Funny we talked about AZ too but then found this little house!
@@ChristinaDiStefanoStudio I went to West Elm after watching your vlog. They had the burnt umber Classic Cotton Velvet Tufted Round Pillow. They are fun and fabulous.
That place looks cool to look, but so many places like that are just tooooo expensive for regular folk! Round Top TX is like that now., mostly ridiculous prices and no bargains anymore … not what it used to be and who can afford that stuff? Loved your sign off, y’all are so cute!
Awww thanks Susan 🤗 I’m with you on that! Monger’s Market is a very cool experience and good if you want something right now. You are paying for the convenience, but I love the hunt and the satisfaction of a good deal! I think purchasing second hand has become more popular and so people selling these pieces can really capitalize on it. I’ve also noticed furniture manufactures adding in vintage findings to appeal to this market. It’s also regional. Like for example Round Up-I haven’t been but I can tell that something like that is going to be popular, and so people would likely have higher prices this way. Same goes for Monger’s Market. There are also a lot of decorators up here with clients that like unique pieces-and so again, bigger buyer base, more competition/demand to buy-therefore higher prices. Now I have found that if you know what you’re looking for (i.e. use those places to educate yourself) then you can find people on eBay/Etsy that actually want to sell their stuff now versus sit on it for a higher price. I want cool, unique and quality-at a good price 😂 Who doesn’t??? Hahaha
As always your video isa joy to watch and learn from. Thank you.😊

We can be in snow in about three hours over in Flagstaff, so if we do want a true taste of Winter, it’s easy enough.
Hummmm maybe that’s the best way 🤔
Except when it’s Fall, and I imagine farm stands with apples and cider, glorious leaf changes, etc, etc. 😉
That’s our little town in the fall 🤍 We also have a fireplace that we use every weekend to just savor it all.

... the yellow velvet pillow looks like Naples Yellow ...
It’s such a great pillow and the color is 🥰. West Elm calls it Golden Oak. Sadly it’s out of stock!
I don't hate it, but I heard the tone in your voice. More options to come😅
Exactly. It doesn’t “feel” right! So many options to choose from yet I’m being a typical indecisive Libra over here and can’t make up my mind.
