Tesla times are so consistent, no tire spinning,no fumbling with launch control and no density air problems. This is why electric cars win most of the time. I know most will say no soul because of lack of sound but that torque makes up for it !😊
Thanks for watching and yeah I can understand why some people would say they don’t have souls but unfortunately that’s where the auto industry is going.
those exoctic cars sure look cool and all but they aint built for comfort. its a look at me i`m rich car so other than that, not practical at all@@RichOnTrack
I have a brand new red model ‘Y’ performance. I think that the channel owners model ‘3’ performance is a little quicker than my car due to a slightly lower weight and better aerodynamics. On the street in real world conditions I have beaten everything so far. That is only until I come across the first model ‘S plaid’😅😅
Just discovered your channel and love it. I have a 2020 MP3. What kind/size tires are you running? and what kind of Performance GPS you have in your dash, Racebox?
Thanks for watching Brad, I am running the stock 20" uberturbines with the Hankook Evo tires that is standard on the highland model 3s. And yes I love the Racebox, I wanted an all in one unit for measuring my performance, I have an affiliate link for it in the description (Thank you, it supports the channel!)
What device do you use to measure your 0-60? I’ve tried GPS apps but they can’t keep up with my M3P. It doesn’t register I hit 60 until I hit 75 in about 4.5 seconds lol
Hey, RichOnTrack. Would you think of using the Sexy buttons to wam up the battery before race? I've seen another videos that shows the time could be improved when the battery is in specific temperatures.
I've always wanted to see MP3 against the new Model S long range (non Plaid). They both have he same 0-60. I'll dig through your videos now to see if you've run one.
Man...I love your channel. 🤣 @6:58 I laughed inside just like you did at this point. And those cars sounded awesome but I'll take the Tesla Model 3 all day.
Hey Rich how come you dont do 1/4 miles often its usually 1/8? Would love to see more 1/4 mile races as im planning on doing it soon for the first time ever
The closest 1/4 mile track is 3 hours away and only open once a month usually. The 1/8 is open weekly and 30 minutes away so it’s much easier for me to get there
@@RichOnTrack makes sense 🙂 curious, do you check the actual battery temp before racing or just navigate to supercharger? If so how long do you nav to SC before you start racing? Ur vids are addicting I've been binge watching for 2 weeks 😄 thank you
Didn't look like much of a challenge to me. You have one of the finest Mercedes performance vehicles going against the cheapest performance Tesla they make and the benz got its ass handed to it. It should be competing against a Plaid really.
'22 M3P here (blue/white) and this is becoming one of my favorite channels. I've been curious since I bought my car last year if the acceleration times are affected dramatically by low SOC. I always feel like my car is quicker if I'm at 70% or more but from watching your races it seems like that is not so much the case? Is it all in my head lol?
"The drop from 75% to 45% - a 30% drop in SOC - results in a massive 64 horsepower difference! So it’s pretty clear that if you’re trying to put in some good times on the track, don’t bother unless your SOC is above 75%."
What you are doing at the light is not reaction time, it's prediction time. Reaction time is if you didn't have a way to predict when the green light will appear.
Definitely more of a fan of the 1/4 mile but i get it, driving 6 hours is kind of unrealistic. I appreciate you making the most of what you got. Id also like to add that you can definitely see the gap in how much your winning by in 1/8 race and doubt that even in a 1/4 mile they'd have a huge opportunity to catch up. Got my eye on a m3p or a m3lr right now so these videos are most definitely hyping me up. I know you beat the hell out of this thing and i don't really plan on racing much but as far as dependability have you had any issues? Most common complaints i hear is tire wear but i think that can possibly be more of a self inflicted problem vs a car issue.
These races would have been so much better if your competition would learn how to tree. Huracans will always have to play catch-up because they all bog off the line but once they get going they make up for it and those races should have been closer with more experienced drivers in the other lane.

I would rather have a model 3 over any of those car
I’d love a Lamborghini someday. Growing up I loved Ferraris and Lamborghinis haha maybe it’s the kid in me (had literal posters of them on the wall)

Yep I am using the buttons now as well as the commander to see battery temperatures to ensure I get optimal temperature for my runs :)
How's your battery holding up?

You redlit by .001. That’s crazy
That wasn’t even the first time I red lit by 0.001 too! I’ve done it before but I also did get a triple zip :)

@@RichOnTrack Rich you the man
I agree not a 1/8 mile fan
You got -1 millisecond reaction time! One of these days you'll get +1 millisecond.
Hahaha someday! I’ve been -0.001 twice and 000 once!
Please post a video if you do race the new 2024 model performance. To see if it's worth the difference
Rich, do you run 50/50 power split non track mode with pre condition? What’s your race setup?
Precondition by navigating to a supercharger, monitoring temp is usually done with third party software and/or apps
That AMG GT is a monster, incredible how well-built sports cars can challenge electric torque
It is and it looked so good in matte black

It's always an added fuzzy-feeling when you can hammer a Lambo .. $ 100k vs $too-expensive.

I can’t wait for my 2024 Model 3 Performance to come in to go beat up on Lambos! 😂
This is not good racing advice, but for better head to head action I usually give the other car the hit.

Are you serious lol
What do you wanna see in the refresh performance 3?
No drop off in pull after 90 mph
Yep and faster 0-60!
Take it off track mode and use sport mode its faster
Its slower in track mode
Do you run on race fuel 😂
Only premium electricity ⚡️
