First I am going to use it on my wife if I get good results then I will use on my car hope it works.
😂😂
Did it work
Been 5 months, did it destroy it or did you use it?
😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

4:15 no lifter noise

Hello. My car is making that noise right now. Where do you put the oil that you recommended?
@@ilikalockett3248if you don’t know just take it to a shop instead a risking messing something up
I like the live demo aspect of this video. Helpful hint for adding messy fluids to your engine: funnel.
hes a purist. Funnels are for the weak minded and weak willed.
Cool
This is the cleanest shop and cleaners mechanic that I've ever seen
You saved 2 of my cars by the way so thank you!
What is the name of the product
Knew an old mechanic (had his own shop) back in the 80s who swore by Rislone. He would use a 50/50 mix of Rislone/motor oil in the crankcase (wouldn't want to try his mix ratio with today's modern engines and their tight tolerances).
I used it noise gone. I put the whole bottle with a oil chamge
Due to a bad speaker please tell me the name of the product..Thanks In advance for any response
Bro this simple fix save me thousands thanks 🙏
I changed the Pittman arm on my dodge ram from your other video...The 33mm socket was 11 dollars.Torqued it 185 ft pds. Thanks for the information RETIRED Larry in Indianapolis..
Hey Larry from Indy, I'm also from Indiana!
What year was it
Thanks for the video. I have followed your instruction step by step BUT unfortunately doesn't work for me.
For those who don't know, the type of oil you use in your engine has to be the thickness the manufacturer specified. Sure, you can put other types of oil in it, but on the long run it can damage your engine (especially v8 trucks or high performance engines). When you add these additives, you are altering the thickness of the oil, so after using the cleaner go ahead and do an oil change. If knocking continues, don't keep adding additives. Instead you need to get your lifters adjusted/replaced. If you increase the thickness of your oil, knocking will probably be reduced, but the engine can get damaged.
You are correct. The weight and viscosity of oils are determined by engine bearing tolerances, engine RPM, operating temps, etc... However, a froze lifter is eventually catastrophic. I propose Rislone should be used until the lifter frees up. Then change the oil.
Yep, some idiot put 5W30 in my Zafira, Z18XE and it started to rattle on startup then I searched up what oil it uses and I got 10W40, OW40 and 5W40 as soon I put 10W40 the noise went away
I have a 95 Isuzu pickup 4 cyl. It had a rod knock when i got it really bad so i started using 20w50 conventional with 30 - 35% lucas. It was a risk but the rod knock is completely gone when the oil is thick and consistently comes back every time I need to change the oil when it gets things out due to heat and stress. It might be erased but the way I saw it I wasn't going to get very many miles with a rod knock that bad before throwing something bad. I've had it for a year now and put 30k miles on it and it's running better than ever. It was also shifting kind of hard and not shifting in Reverse good, so I put 20 50 oil with about 25% Lucas in the transmission and it actually shifts a lot better now. If something gets destroyed then oh well but it's a 25 year old car I only paid 1200 for it
You sure??!! the "thickness" of *any* oil varies wildly with TEMPERATURE,no point in being too precise there; the manuf. API classification (C for Compression, that means diesel, S for Spark, that means gas) is what needs to be followed; also, OLD engines need thicker oil, because the clearances have opened up; and DO NOT observe oil change intervals the manufs recommend; for instance,in Europe Renault says 30000 kms for most Dci engines (1.5 Dci,1.9 DCI..); DO NOT do that, you'll RUIN the engine, it's a CALAMITY ,millions of RUINED engines; CHANGE the oil every 8000 or 10000 Kms,tops, screw what the manuf says,he says that ONLY TO SATISFY THE CLIMATE GANG,damn them,EGRs and all that crap, they COST the pçanet DEARLY with their theories...i know i'm already paying thru the nose here in Eu-rape... everybody is...
Hydraulic lifters adjusted? i think they are **NOT** adjustable, friend.
I have an 01' GS300 and risilone quieted the engine. I didn't have ticks but its runs smoother with risilone. Marvel mystery oil works too. I love this lexus: 189500 miles and 20 yrs old still running like new. Man that tick was more like a grind, that would scare me
All the people asking where to put it. Did y'all even watch the video??? 🤦
Smells like Banana flavored Runts candy! Been using it for decades.
Is it a thick liquid?
Nice video. Wish my garage was as neat as yours!
Wish I had a garage
I had a pickup developed noisy lifter I took the valve cover off poured transmission fluid directly into the lifter while idling let it run about 10 min put the covers back on changed the oil the tick went way and never came back I put over 350k miles on it ,a old man told me this trick it was on a chevy big block.
Do you have to do an enigne oil change after using rislone ?
Yes
@@willis0s1 what would happen if you leave in?
I used this on my 5.3 that was ticking pretty hard, it took about 200 miles of driving before it got quiet, but it worked.
I ended up having to replace the O ring on the oil pump pick up tube inside oil pan. No more ticking and way better oil pressure.
Did you have low compression in a cylinder
Chevy Tahoe?
@@bjenkins803 I did the same on my 6.0
I used this stuff it did quiet the tick, it didn’t completely get rid of it but it got rid of most of it
What’s the name of it?
Invictous Ayala rislone engine treatment
Did you have to do an oil change or can you just add it
How long did it last?
@@georgefosho6689 add it when ever
Gonna try this as a last attempt effort for my 06 F-150 5.4 Triton...this fn tapping is driving me nuts. I hope this works! 🤞🏽
How did it go??
Did it work?
after you add the additive and run it for a couple of miles i should do an oil change to get all of the gunk and engine treatment out right
my 5.9 magnum developed a tick after a head swap. i tried seafoam but it didnt work. might try this before i tear the engine apart again and swap lifters. hopefully its just a dirty lifter since the truck sat uncovered for a couple weeks
How do I send you 20$ as a thank you. I have a 1988 Firebird and it started a ticking despite being in immaculate condition. After searching all day I happened upon your video and you saved my life
Thank You for your thoughtful consideration and your kind offer, glad to know that the issue you were experiencing was solved. Your sincere gratitude is sufficient. No need to send us money. Have a great day.
Would you mind tell me which specific rislone you use please.
Hi did you find out what he was using
Thanks for posting.
Making videos is hard and everyone is a critic. I would simply suggest to upgrade your sound. Get a microphone (lots of inexpensive options out there).
That engine was pretty loud in the beginning. I would've mistaken that ticking sound for an exhaust leak.
I bought a GMC Sierra 2018 5.3L
It has a little tick noise but sometimes goes away especially when I turn around left or right
I just notice that it’s a lifter and just like this guy said The truck was sitting for a few months
Anyways it was driving me nuts because I was thinking it was a exhaust leak 🤣🤣
Wish I could buy some of that here in the Philippines, or something like Rislone
Best video. Simple right to the point
I have the notorious GM 3.6 I use a bottle every change 2.500 miles. No timing chain problems 253.000 miles, runs great.
We just sold our enclave with only 142,000 on it with the dismal 3.6 coz it had timing chain failure.we will never own another one.ticking time bombs
Had a 1979 Buick Electra 225 and it came with a bad lifter after 14,000 miles. I tried every available valve treatment, tried motor flushes, auto trans fluid, etc., and if you got a ticking valve lifter, you got an engine repair(very expensive) to replace the lifter. In fact, if you got to tear it down, replace all of them, cheap insurance, and buy the best you can afford! Or do what I did, gave the car to my wife in the divorce! Brahaha!
looooololololoooolololol
Nice video! It depends on luck, some lifters might get free, the
Ones i've seen didn't.
Real men don't use a funnel I mean real stupid ones
Thanks got a lot of good info; I'm retired so my care is not driven a lot and has very low milage for it's age to have engine problems, this makes sense now.0
it was a diesel,now it's gas,amazing,no need for wrenches.
Is it possible to use this with a v6 ?
Yes any internal combustion engine. Add to engine oil crankcase via the oil filler cap.
Hi I have a Question I already tried Another product and it didn’t so should I get an oil change and try this product
Omg shot after hearing that I’m happy mine sounds so quite lol. Hearing that in my car would’ve made me want a full replacement lol
Your post the link or the name u have the bottle to far
Is hard to see the exactly name or the product
Apparently, the product name is Risolone.
Does it matter if the car is warm or not?
what do you think about project farm's video
is transmission fluid better than engine flush?
THANK YOU SON
Had a valve tick in my 2005 GMC Sierra 5.3L V8.
This stuff cleared up the issue in no time. I had been using Lucas, but I think this is my new go to. Thanks.
Mine is just starting to have a slight lifter tick. When you added this, did you leave it in for the entire oil change interval, or did you run it for a while and then do another oil change?
@@cuisinwithkev2699 did you try it how did it work
My 04 Tahoe has a lifter tick ima do the oil change and try this
@franciscoreyess4941 any updates did it help i have a 5.3 with a lifter tick
My 2000 Montero Sport has similar engine tick when just started on very cold days. It lasts for few minutes and then the noise goes away. Wondering if this will help. No noise on days that are above 40 F. I was planning to change the weight of oil to see.
Did you try it out? I got an 03 with the 3.5 and its VERY noisy 😂😂😂😂
If you run thicker oil in the winter you should have this happen less. You need to consult your manual to see which oil you can use.
Been using that stuff for decades - IT WORKS!!!! TY - ANOTHER great video!!
Where do you pour it?
@@angelig-s6694 Pour it in where it says oil on the cap. It is added to the oil crankcase and mixes with the motor oil. Cheers
Hi,,, where can I buy Rislone?? thanks
At autozone
Fine advise ,but no products that I can find here in the Philippines, I can order some STP oil treatment but can't find a product similar to this Rislone. I need advise badly on another product to use. .
Good job my 2016 chevy malibu might need that thank you.
A 2016 with noisy lifters?
Can't believe that works 👍
Is there an oil additive that would fix noisy mechanical lifters? This appears to be formulated for hydraulic lifters.
Beetle is a cool car …., I have one … since 2000 … a 1.8turbo ….
Dirive the Engine hot … remove Motor oil … fill 5 Liter Kerosin Inside … start the engine .. and 10min running …
Next Day .. start the engine.,, 10 min running .. than renove the Kerosin….. the engine likes new inside …
After this fill only 10w60 Oil in the engine …. Never that oil what Vw says ….
He used rislone engine treatment. For those asking.
No.
You can add the Rislone treatment to the existing oil. It is important to follow the manufacturer's directions carefully.
Once the Rislone Oil Treatment has performed its purpose, it is highly advisable to perform an oil and filter change on the car.
marshalllhiepler is it ok to drive it with the noise to go to store to buy the fluid? I parked my Escalade since the noise started and my mechanic is out of pocket at the moment...
Does this work for non hydraulic lifters? 😊
I would think not. Non-hyd lifters need manual adjustment. Refer to local mechanic.
So i took it to my local shop and they swear it's fine to drive😫😤 i guess I'm gonna have to learn auto
my gmc sierra makes a tick sound BUT it goes away after about 5-10 mins . my truck sat most of the winter and, i generally just use it for hunting and fishing --- hoping this works. thanks for the vid,
The 5.3 (what I'm assuming your truck has) naturally has a tick to it.... One of the best motors ever produced we've owned 5 or 6 of them in the family over the years... And every single one of them had/has a knock to it.
How many Oz?
Cheers very good and informative
Have rislone in my 4.6 triton and after 300+ miles the lifted II s still ticking away
Great video I've used it for around 30 years now.
Most people just need to watch it once, but hey whatever floats your boat homie.
Fanta lmao great sense of humor! Love it
maybe a new car would be the go
If I just got an oil change done, can I still do this ? Where exactly do I Put it in. Where you normally put oil ?
Engine oil compartment
@@trainerzard7 I would think you need to be careful not to over fill fluids so careful.
The best way to get rid of a ticking lifter noise on a VW is to sell the damn thing then buy a Japanese car
I'm here because my Celica is doing this....
Yup I have a 93 mazda 626 2.0L manual and it has 287465 miles still runs good and might tick here and there but not for a long time.. Japanese cars are good cars.. Going on 6 years with my Mazda 626 and bought it for $800 when it had 127322miles. A/c is great speed is good first car and all my friends already bought 2 cars with in 6 years.. Not me.. Oil change 20000 miles and whatever fails I fix fast.. And she'll love you forever..... Next vehicle is a Toyota or another mazda 626 v6..manual cuz it last long time..
Im here because of a toyota aygo making the same sound. A 3 cylinder
My Acura Tl sh awd v6 is noisier than my 97 chev 350 v8
Wow was this statement wrong. Look at the relies.
73 beetle it just all of a sudden started how long to run car after pouring can a bad distributor do have same noise,I adjusted valves still ticking
i have a gmc sierra 5.3 2001. How much should i put?!!
My truck is doing a chirp and people are saying lifters but it does not sound like this it not a ticking its a chirping
What if my lifters only make noise when the engine is cold? Buick 3800
Thank you sr. Can I use it in Audi a6 3.2 litter??
@Devon Hogencamp savage😂
2007 1500 ram 5.7 4WD hemi lil tick from the bottom will this work bro I put all Mobile 1 oil n filter Synthetic oil 5-20
how nuch do you put in
I have a q50 2018 and it has a loud tick wonder if they would do the trick runs fine and everything no check Engine either but the noise bugs me
I’ve used that before, it really works
Name
I have a 07 gmc sierra with the 4.3 v6 vortec . it has a tapping noise in the passnger side valve cover when I first start it but after minute or so it will clear up and I can drive it all day no noise but sometimes it comes and goes. Whats causing this? Trash in valve cover mabe? Or bad lifter
I have a Toyota Corolla 4zz can i use this product, since my car has no lifters...it has Shims?
Hopefully that will fix my Crossfires ticking noise that sits a lot, thank you for the video.
gawd...that engine must be a nightmare to work on,no room for anything; **crazy** !!!
Great to know these things
A mechanic could easily f you up here and say you need a new engine
is it necessary to change the oil then?
I used risolone on a 350 with high mi..Works good...
Lol word i was looking to quiet my g37, it really cleaned em up good?
What if I just got a oil change and put synthetic like a month ago should I still get a oil change and put this risolone
CAN'T SEEM TO FIND IT, USE TO BE ON THE SHELVES ALL THE TIME. OH WELL I'LL KEEP LOOKING.
Mines a very soft ticking noise in my Dodge charger and you can only hear it when you lift up the hood does that have to do with the oil or the lifter
can u use this stuff on a gmc sierra 5.3 engine
YES. Today I carried my 2009 GMC SIERRA 5.3 to get a trusted mechanic to listen to my engine that was making a different ticking knocking sound than usuall. This is the stuff he recommended to try. I can tell you it has quieted my engine tick tremendously. I will use it at every oil change now.
Please products name, I have hard time to read it. Thanks
Thanks for this information. I have this "Spark Knock" Sound when I am driving also. I am in the process of doing an engine swap but I am instead going to try this solution to see if this will quiet the Valve Tappets being Tapped by the Cam Lobe.
I did it still sound the same way, so what’s the next step?
The product is Rislone Oi Treatment?
Can I try this one my 1996 corvette
my car has lifter noise and today i went to a auto wash and some how when i shut it off to vacuum it and turned it on the noise was 3 times as loud could water have gotten into some where and made it worse so far the noise has stayed minimal like it always been but scared me good i read that in rare cases you have to replace the whole lifter but it seems everywhere they recommend oil additives i just replaced my engine oil like 3 or 4 days ago and the oil level is fine not sure what to do
No, it's impossible for water to get inside. Are your rockers adjustable? Are they hydraulic lifters like this one? Make sure you are using the correct oil. Try this or another product and do an oil change right after.
Would you reccomend doing this before or after an oil change?
Did you get your question answered I have the same question
I need the same answer too!!
Add a bottle every oil change, then drive until next oil change and add a bottle again.
Just got a v6 sonata an its doing the same thing its been sitting about a year
Can this work in my 6th gen camaro with the LGX engine. The ticking is in cylinder 5 and I have a misfire (p0305). I checked the plugs, coil packs and replaced the injector twice. It can only be my hydraulic adjusters or my rockers. Would much rather not pay $300 for the parts
Any luck?
What is the name of the product?
After u put that stuff u change oil right now?
DIRTY OIL, IS MOST COMMON PROBLEM ON VW AUDI
Amazing
Hi what was it called please
Will it work on a harley 1340 evo?
please sir tell me is engine flash advisable before we do this with rislone?thank you
So what is the name of this stuff?
So question my truck takes 6 quarts of oil can I dump 5 quarts in a the whole quarter of the additive
I would assume you could... thats what I do with the Lucas product
Where do I get that stuff???????
I just replaced bent valves on my 03 kia 1.8L now it sounds like a diesel engine lol I put all the lifters back in the spots they came out of but it has a small tick. Almost sounds like the injectors ticking but I think it's one of the lifters
Frl sound like I own 18 wheeler
