instead of resigning at 15:50, i suggest you play out the moves that would stop the checkmate, for example in this position if u moved ur rook down one it delays mate for one move. It seems stupid but i have legitimately in blitz and rapid won multiple games just because my opponents pre-moved a checkmate for no reason (not even low on time) and i hung a piece to defend, they play the 'checkmate' then i take the piece. life is good 👍 TLDR: if ur getting checkmated, always play out moves that prevent checkmates, in the rare case the opponent premoves the checkmate and you just win lol
16:27 The scotch !!! I don't know much about the normal scotch either but it looks fun ! I will look into it soon I think ! 16:47 And it does not matter that we know nothing because Nd5 is played very early, which is not great 😂😂 I have no idea what's the point of this I don't even see an opening trap, I mean just don't play Bc4 😂 f4 is the best move when I analyse this, together with Nc3. 16:57 and yaaaay you just won 2 tempos for free 🥳🥳🥳 17:10 No idea why the engine says this but bxc6 is better ! It's just slow to understand that dxc6 is worse for some reason 😅 BTW I know you just forgot here but I apreciate having the engine lines during the analysis ! You rarely forget so no worries ! 17:19 Qd4 great move !! Black here has the very funny move Qh4+ which looks like it does not solve anything, g3 Qe7 saving the queen and the bishop, and if you take g7... you loose 😂😂 Qxe4+, your knight is pinned, it's a fork of your king and rook. And even tho you attack his rook somehow you are losing a piece on every line with a very exposed king ! They just traded tho so all fine ! 17:23 b3 is great, also because e4 is not really hanging (Nxe4 Qxg7) ! Bd3 is very normal tho ! 17:37 mistake is a little harsh, but I agree with it. 1st because it hangs the e4 pawn Nxe4 is now possible with Rc8 coming next ! But also you wanted to castle long because you played f4... BUT f4 works very well with short castle !!! The rook support the f pawn, so he can push, the f file might also open, and you could also rook lift and start an attack ! Short castle is a great way to activate the h rook quickly when f4 is played ! Of course you have to be careful of checks on the g1-a7 diagonal but there is nothing scary yet ! And Kh1 could always be played ! They also have the open b file to attack you if you castle long ! 18:53 so 1st here you spend wayyy too long ! 2 minutes + is quite a lot of time ! You are better here, so it's just about being accurate. Short castle allows Nb4 here, and you have no Bc4 because Nxc2 then is a fork, so probably you would have to lose the bishop pair. Long castle adds defense to c2 so Nb4 is met with Bc4 (that's why engine says it's better) but it looks a lot more scary than short castle to me ! a3 just stop Nb4 and prepares short castle for next move ! You are better with every move so short castle is fine as Nb4 is not a huge threat in my opinion. 19:06 and Nb4 is not even played. Qh4 is not great here because black has nothing that looks like an attack 😂😂 19:14 Rf3 is great ! And we see how short castle with f4 worked wery well ! 19:19 and it's very strong already !! 19:23 it is because the queen is lost anyways !! Qg4 only move, Bxh7+ Kh8 Bf4+ (discovered check) and you pick up the queen next move ! 19:30 yep playing up a lot of material !! 19:52 there is really no pressure and attack here, but you got scared... 20:05 I hate Qf3 very much, very passive.. Qb7 would have forced Rf8 back and then HE is passive. (the opponent, I'm not assuming anything about the gender of this player 😂😂). And then Bb4 would just attack the rook that defends everything. That's just one way to do it but making him be passive (with queen on the 7th) was the best way in my opinion ! There are also some force rook trade on the back rank ideas You saw a ghost here because they were really no real threat on your king there. Also YOU are the one making threats here being up material, you should not be playing defense (not in this case at least) ! 20:08 this is not great, BUT I would say the problem is not that move but the spirit you had before this ! Just a little more confidence and you would have played more agressively and won ! You often convert very cleanly so yeah, sometimes opponents are great at fighting back, and it will be more and more the case as you climb the ratings ! It's never too late to throw off a game ! 20:55 here I saw another comment about this, and I agree I would play Rd3 everyday !!! 😂 It's mean but if they premove then you can punish them ! I usually allow checkmate anyways so yeah I fight till the very end ! 21:06 yes the opening was great for sure !! 21:14 heyyy it's meee 😇😇 Yeah the Ponziani is great ! I've played it quite a lot and I know quite a lot about it so I could help with the analysis maybe ! There are also a ton of great videos about this on youtube if you want to look at the main ideas ! (Eric Rosen, Gothamchess, Volclus, and probably much more !) 22:45 Happy new year everybody !! 🥳🥳
Haha I hope you enjoyed your shoutout! And yeah I agree that I played way too complacently when I should've been playing for a win, I think being able to stay mentally focused while low on time will be really key for me
@@FarzyPlaysChess Ahahah yes thank you for the shout out ! You are the first person ever to say they are a huge fan of me 😇😂 I mean I'm not a celebrity or an influencer, I'm more of a shy person so I guess it's normal 😅 If you could train some more blitz sometimes it could probably help with the speed overall ! But it's also great to spend time, that's also how you improve overall. Time management is completely another skill tho which is also important to get good at in order to improve !
Recently found your channel and love your videos. I am a complete beginner and really enjoy the way you explain your thoughts. I can mostly follow your thought process and learn from it even though my ELO is much lower and I wouldn't think of these ideas myself. Thanks for making these videos!
I'm so glad you're enjoying the videos! It's really cool to me that I can help other people improve their chess while I try to improve my own, I find it just as rewarding as seeing my own rating increase :)

Honestly a very solid piece of advice I'll have to remember in the future! There really isn't anything to lose, thanks for sharing :)

Like the buzz cut bro suits you well 👌🏼
Much appreciated brother 🙏
Day 70
48,5/70
+45 -18 =7
+64% -26% =10%
I just realized, only 7 draws in 70 games is quite low - I wonder if it's because of my struggles with time management
I just got 1000 elo
Congrats !!! 🥳🥳
Let's go!!! Congratulations, keep it up and the sky's the limit 🙏
