Nice game!! 15:05 Scandinavian defense ! I don't know too much about it as I usually play d4 instead od exd5 and play some gambits 😂 But okay everything is fine / theory until 15:36 here After Bg4 I want you to look at Bxf7+ ! Here it does not work but you should consider it everytime ! It fails because Bxf7+ Kxf7 Ne5+ Qxe5 is very strong for black, winning a piece ! But otherwise it would a very nice way to win a pawn ! So yeah h3 was best in the end ! 15:49 long castle here is better to develop more quickly ! Your rooks are going faster to d1 and e1 ! Short castle is fine but just slightly slower ! 16:12 so yes probably your rooks should go to e1 and d1, not c1 even tho there is his queen there, it's completely closed and will not open soon at all. 16:31 Ne4 is not bad but I don't love it. After Nxe4 Qxe4 Nf6 Qf3 16:38 now you traded your c3 knight for his d7 knight and you gave black the move (it's now black to move and not white) I don't love to trade knights when I have to recapture with the queen and they can replace their other knight and gain time. Just a small thing it's not too important tho. 17:03 yeah there is a nice tactic if Bf4 Bd6 ! 18:04 Here I'm not a fan of Re2. Doubling rooks on the e file is a great idea but you are allowing both Qf4 and Nf4 here for black which I like for them ! 18:08 and here again Qf4 and Nf4 are a slight problem, but if not for Nf4 I would have loved to see Rae1 ! With the threat to play Qxd5 next move !! But ok Qe4 is not bad either 18:44 here it's a mistake because it's now an endgame with an open file, and the 2 best moves by far are Rd1 and Rd2 !! Take control of that open file !! 18:55 yep you won control of the e file but now you have other problems.. I thought it was fine but there is 1 reason why it's bad. 18:57 here after Ng6, you should absolutely consider Rd7 1st, counter attack and be active, Re2 just gives the file to black. But yes here Rd7 loses because Nxe5 would be a fork... and it's only bad because your bishop is there 😅 So in the end well played on not playing Rd7 I guess 😂 19:19 well played on the next few moves, improving, bringing the king, trying to contest the d file ! 20:35 this is bad for black because d5 will be a weakness and your king will be able to enter after the trades. 20:47 and trading down the rooks and going to the pawn ending was bad for black. Pawn endings should probably be calculated before going into them, especially here for black they had quite some time ! Very clean pawn ending on your part ! Well done !!!
Seems like my intuition can still be improved quite a lot, I'm curious to see how that'll change as it's the aspect of chess that's probably the hardest to directly train!
@@FarzyPlaysChess yep intuition is for sure very difficult to train ! I would say the best way is to play a lot, and maybe have a quick look at the analysis, but mainly play a lot ! For me, intuition = understanding what matters the most in this position ! Is it a file? A square? A piece close to being trapped? The king safety? Piece Development? Etc etc And deciding what to focus on first on every position. In my case I would say for my elo I'm quite bad at tactics, positional chess and endgames, but I'm great at openings, time management and intuition (because I play so much). But I'm also slow in time scrambles (RIP my bullet rating) 😂 And I think it's great to know your strenghs and weaknesses to work on the weaknesses. Even tho we prefer working on our strenghs in most cases, I like to study openings for no reason while I should do tactics and study endgames 😂
