I don't know what effects are onboard the AER but Roland's effects can create a wonderful sound. I'm not sure a comparison of flat tones reveals a winner or loser if you are trying to decide between the two.
At 1:12 when the AER kicked in I was totally sold on it for fingerstyle. Not sure about folk/jazz strumming, it's a bit harsh but so is the Roland... on songs where I strum, I only use a mic, that has always sounded best. But for fingerstyle (my main way of playing), I'm all AER. The Roland at 1:40 totally convinces me that the midrangy Roland isn't my fave.
Combo for acoustic guitar has a wide range of reproduced frequencies and accordingly by connecting an electric guitar through a modern processor (full guitar path) you can get a good full sound for an electric guitar. Why does no one talk about this?
I have the Roland AC60 and it's ok but adding a bass amp or powered speaker to the Subwoofer output on the back makes it amazing. It will blow your mind. My Shertler Jam 100 is good as is but the Roland with that Sub out is superior.
I own both these speakers and can honestly say that the roland doesn't stand up to the AER at all. To really test these amps you need to put vocals through them too and I fund the roland isn't very well balanced and it's very feedback sensitive despite having an anti feedback feature. It's still a great piece of kit and I use it for my piano player who accompanies me at my open mics but nothing compares to AER in terms of all round use.
Thanks. I have an AC 60 and an AC 33 but I’m just about to get an Aer Compact 60. The Rolands are just too muddy and the vocal channel has to be up full and full treble to cut through. Also the limiters are really annoying.
Can someone answer my question, I am looking for a step up amp from my cheap Ibiza busking amp. I am hoping to sing more so I need something with more clarity without breaking the bank with the AER! I see used the Roland ac60 amps very often at a price just a bit more than I paid for my cheap Ibiza!........I’m no guitar player but I do use mostly guitar backing tracks! .....Will the Roland cut the mustard? Any suggest?....
For me Roland AC60 has more natural sound than AER 60. It is able to reproduce and amplify acoustic guitar sound so clear- crisp and clean with a balance tone.
Thanks a lot, Brian! So, this summer is abnormally hot. Do you not have summer fatigue? I am praying for you to enjoy your summer. (^^) Take care, Kauchi
Thanks for visiting and commenting, Daniel - Chopper! :-) I like AC-60 when I play the solo guitar, and I like AER when I play in the band. AC-60 has warm rich sound and AER has very clear sound. Have a great week!
pathetic that a lousy Ovation plastic guitar is used for this shootout, it's ALL pickup and no body. Makes the test moot. Plus a vocal comparison would really really be helpful!
roland has a good live mixable sound that sits and cuts really nice. this is what you need in the real world. the AER is nice for solo performance

Not sure what people here aren't hearing...the AER sounds much better to me.
Not for wood instruments like a clasical violín or guitar
@@lexandersig ???
@@lexandersig I have it with my Alhambra 5P CW, amazing quality believe me.

Perhaps compression would help both of these amps for the strumming style. I don't suppose they have it built in.

Can you share a sound video...would love to hear

GFG, you are demoing an acoustic amp but playing electric for 44 sec intro. Why?
My thoughts exactly. I was ready to move on. Bad idea and too long of a beginning track.

Did you get an Aer? If so how does it compare to the Roland?
I think you have tweak to compare. I’m sure you could close to the AE with the AC just by lifting some treble.

Can I use Acoustic Guitar and a drum machine together with this amps?
Thanks for watching! AC-60 can play it.
It seems, roland sounds warmer and wider , and aer sounds more presence, high, clear
The last sound clip sendt me to the AER but I kinda was for the Roland sound until that...!
Yeah! Thanks a lot, Thor!

Would like to see the eq used. I think if you play with dropping the mid on the Roland it would get very close.
Yes the AER wipes the floor with the Roland.
Not for wood instruments
The Aer is so much nicer, it makes the roland sound bang average at best.
for me i prefer the roland ,,good vid mate 👍

hi mate yeah its pretty warm even here in scotland lol ,,probably alot warmer in japan ,have a good summer mate 😊 Brian 🎸🎸🎸
Aer is an amazing amp and well worth it. Used I paid the same as the Roland new. No regrets by far.
PRICE IS VERY DIFFERENT BETWEEN THIS TWO AMP
The AER Is superior only for the price?
What is your personal opinion.

Thanks for your opinion, I'm going to buy a Roland.
Which of the two has more power?
AER. On the other hand, AC-60 has many useful functions.
Have a great weekend, Daniel !

Roland foi melhor
No comparison. AER
Roland ac 60 le afecta muchísimo la calidad de corriente. Dejado al amplificador insebible según tenga la calidad de corriente sonará . Roland 💩
