Six years ago? I'm late. I came here to say that the singer gave me Goosebumps. Man it's not easy for me to get that but it's also easy for me when I hear a certain voice. Beautiful
I bought the Boss Acoustic Singer Pro because of this video. If you've only owned an electric guitar amp all your life - like I did, you'll find the clear, clean tones of this amp like stepping out to crisp mountain air after being in a humid swamp. It is fantastic, and has everything a singer/songwriter-guitarist could want in an amp. Highly recommended! =)
have a general question: How does wattage affect volume? I have seen acoustic amps of 180w sold for $800 while one with 55w sold for $2000 ??? The higher the wattage the more the volume? louder? Does other fx determines the price?
It is definitely louder, but its not all about the increase in volume rather the Quality of the volume. This Boss ASPro can entertain a small venue or be your control monitor on stage - without buzzing or hissing like old Marshall and Peavey amps even at full blast. The Boss ASLive is meant for a small jam with friends or a living room. Boss has a reputation for reliability and being built like a tank - while being affordable. You'll need at least a Boss FS-6 with this amp. I bought both Boss GA-FC and a FS-5U for full control. $2000 for an amp? That's audiophile gear. High price does not always mean its better. The Boss Acoustic Singer amp stands out among all other amps in that it literally has ALL the effects (EQ, chorus, reverb, harmonizer, looper and DI outputs) that a singer/songwriter needs. I couldn't be happier with this amp! =)

I was first looking at the Fishman Loudbox mini charge but I’m intrigued by this, any thoughts on the two?
@@tommym321 If you need a battery and bluetooth, go for the Fishman (if busking). If you need harmony, USB to connect and record to your computer/recording software, separate voice and guitar DI out, tweeter control, mic power control, a looper, (LOL! BOSS has tons of features) - then go for the Acoustic Singer Pro or Live if your sing and play professionally or want to sound pro even at home or parties.

I have the the Pro at 120 Watt it has plenty of power. Everyone that hears this amp is just blown away by the quality and the beautiful sound. There are 3 acoustic settings to get a very nice acoustic tone even on my electric archtop jazz guitar. The vocal side and harmonizer are just magnificent. For it's price it's the best investment I ever made. Also having 2 balanced line outs one for guitar and one for vocals is a god send to take both back to a control desk to be controlled and mixed individually. This can be done pre effects or post effects. Boss really did think of everything on this amp. Also one thing that was not mentioned is that if you hold the harmonizer type button down for a few second you can get "unison and high" harmony together, so you have 4 settings, high harmony, unison, low harmony and unison with high harmony. You won't be disappointed.

Wow! Great presentation...and yes that harmonizer is from another world. Greatest selling point of that amp. Really at a crossroads here. Played through a Fender Acoustic 100 amp and the effects selection outweigh the effects on the boss.
Then there is the nux stageman ac50 it has a built-in drum machine.
If only 1 amp had all 3 features I'd be happy 🌻

This looks good! I play acoustic gigs most of the time and it's a pain in the ass to carry PA, mixer bla bla bla. I'd love to have just one thing ready to go with everything built in. I'll check this out as soon as I can.
This is the answer I have used it for solo performance it is perfect sounds great big and Crystal clear.
What about Bluetooth or at least a jack to plug phone into for break music

When I record a loop by pressing the button on the guitar amplifier, there is no problem in switching between the loops.
But when I start with the footswitch and record the time between loops, I wait about 1 second and then start again, which breaks the rhythm. What would be the reason?
would like to see more of the looper- also could you use this as a keyboard amp with looper and vocal? Would love that! The harmony thing is so spooky
Acoustic singer / songwriter here Iv'e been playing guitar for 30 years and I will say after all the research I have done on these kinds of amps, and playing countless instruments over the years, I think the Harmonizer really depends on the singers vocals too how spot on they are. What I wish these amps would come out with is a really nice 12 string effect and microphone modeling , get various tones of some of the best mics to give better sound to the acoustic , as opposed to having to rig more stomp boxes . I have found over the years the less a musician has to carry the better !!!
I believe LR Baggs has a pedal that will do that. However, I do agree with you. :)
Sounds Great! Is this released yet? Price point? I wonder how it will project. Is the Harmonizer footswitchable on and off? Does the looper have a footswitch (start and stop independent switches) and what is the max loop length?

So for singing you use a acoustic guitar amp? I used to sing through my fender twin reverb but I didn’t know any better. Just playing around at home. Just home hobby. So what I need is a acoustic guitar amp ? I don’t want to gig it’s just my voice is so much better with some amplification. I have a decent voice but I’m not able to project it very loudly. Especially over a Martin D28 guitar. It’s a pretty loud guitar on its own
What happens if you're on the high setting and sing the fifth of the chord? Does it sing a high root?

Looks like it would be tough to use the vocal harmonizer for recording as you need to also be playing the guitar for the harmonizer to work properly.

Can I use the harmonizing effect just singing or do I need a guitar for the amplifier to harmonize with my voice?

The chords that you play on the guitar is what informs the harmony generator what key you are in. The amplifier intelligently analyzes the guitar chord and produces a harmony vocal transposition BASED on that chord. Without the guitar, you'd get randomized vocal parts that might not be the note that you'd want.
Does this work in a non-acoustic setting like in a band situation
what kind of pick up is in that guitar? it gives it a silky sound rather than a tin sound that you usual get in cheaper guitars.... please advise.

What if I played my electric guitar through this with a vox effects preamp?
I am curious if anyone has found the harmony function weird and a bit annoying after the initial "cool!" factor has worn off. I am thinking seriously about buying this but am wondering about this!
Would have been nice to actually hear the gtr been strummed without all the Chorus/ and effects. Most important is what the gtr sounds like without all the effects. Didn't really get a lot out of this demo bar the fact that the harmony feature works very well.
Once dialled in with a vocal effect you are stuck with it unless there is foot switch controller... And I don't think there is one so vocal effect very limited

Hey KK, I’d say ANYTIME you have distortion I’d first start at your volume, (provided you have everything connected correctly). Then I’d just drill down from there and go step by step and start checking your EQ levels. Remember the feedback feature on this amp that helps you fix some of these issues for you. But also keep in mind that, your mic can also contribute to distortion.

in every video I see (where this boss amp is used) I see low volume half whispering voices being used to advertise this amplifier .

using a fender pro junior amp for the guitar.
in such cases I found out that I can forget getting a fine balance of equal volume, balance and ambiance with portable combo voice amps .
so far I have not seen any producer building combo amps for electric guitar and voice.
I dream of an pro junior guitar amp and a equal voice amplification in one combo .

It depends on what kind of amp it is. Solid state amps are usually cheaper than tube amps.

I'm a finger picker and you can find the "sweet spot" which sounds great.

Note that the volume and gain knob is very low !!! because if you increase you only hear hiss and feedback !!! and this has no control on this amplifier. I'll let you know until this is fixed, I don't want others to lose your money like me !!!

Starting at 2:20 the acoustic sounds literally dead, like 5-year old strings. Strange that it would brighten up at 3:06 when we only see him turn the reverb down. The chorus sounds like any cheap chorus, but the guitar can't shake that waxy, boxy piezo tone. I've heard Alvarez guitars sound a lot better than this. Don't recognize the model but looks higher end.
It's almost funny hearing him describe a vocal harmonizer as if it's some new thing.
I'm a fan and customer of Reverb, and I like Boss (the Katana is an amazing amp) and Alvarez. No reflection on the artists either, but this demo doesn't make me want to go out and spend $600 on this amp. Or even $300. I really wanted to like it.
surely that 8 inch speaker and dome tweeter is not going to be loud enough for a coffee bar. I was thinking maybe a 15, 12, and tweeter
we use 8" and tweeter for front of house. nice tight powerful tone. obviously subs for bottom end. I like a good 8".
