This is a big and well-schooled voice. She can shape a taut musical line, and there is real expressivity to her singing. She doesn't have a true piano and her low range sounds a bit too throaty. She sounds most comfortable singing Verdi--the Tosca excerpt is a bit wild. But in this era of wild and wooly and often under-powered Verdi singing Miss Haroutounian is a most welcome addition to the spinto soprano ranks. I hope she prospers. Lustrous voices like this are very rare these days.

I agree about Lianna's voice and technique. A wonderful, large and homogeneous voice that has so much to offer.....Her technique is also very solid, she can sing equally well Mimi from la Boheme and more dramatic roles like Amelia from Un Ballo or Tosca. She can also sing well roles like Leonora from Il Trovatore that require agility....Lianna is a top singer, one of the greatest....

Good basic potential. As a lyric.
She sings spinto roles though and her vibrato action is not totally correct.
Chestvoice is not correct even if there is one. Timbre is nice.

I have seen her many times at ROH and she is very disappointing live - only her high notes are vibrant - the middle is very muddy and often inaudible, and the lows are totally inaudible.
