Great idea about using acrylic yarn to start off the magic ring..I don’t know how many time I broke the parfait chunky wool yesterday….now I’ll continue watching…first time viewing. Thanks
I made 6 of these so far I love the patten thankyou so much. I'll see how they go at my next market. I also sent one over to my nephew and I think he's going to like it 😊
This was my first plushie and I'm really happy with how it turned out. One thing I would mention like some of the other comments have already, the belly came out smaller than it should have been but other than that this was amazing for my first plushie and tha k you for the amazing tut
Yay! I'm so glad you liked it! I realized that I tend to crochet looser when working in the row. So for everyone reading this, you can size up your hook a bit if the belly is too small! Thank you for pointing it out! 🥰
Awwhh, thank you! I'll keep them coming! 🥰 I do have a large sea turtle pattern in my full tutorial playlist, and I'll be releasing a smaller one soon! I hope you like them! ❤️
I really enjoyed watching your video and I am going to purchase the pattern to add to my collection of favourite projects. Thank you for posting your video!
Hola no entiendo mucho de ingles. Me he puesto el traductor y creo entender que se puede utilizar cualquier tipo de hilo?? Lo probare a ver que tal. Me encantan tus animalitos de mar. Gracias ❤❤
Sarah I’m new at crochet & reading a pattern is Very Difficult due to having strokes & for some reason today I cannot get this example below, Help me with what it means by the Decreases Please ! Example R9 3SC (3SC , dec)x3, SC (18) Does it mean every 3 SC I do a decrease three times? Sorry I just have nobody to help me! Thank You!
It means that first you do kind of an extra 3sc at the start of the row, and then you repeat (3sc, dec ) 3 times and then follow with 18 sc until to the end of the row. I Hope you understood, my english is not very good. 😊
Hi! I think it's awesome that you're pushing through and still crocheting! 🥰 The example written out works like this: sc in the next 3 sts, (sc in the next 3 sts, dec once), then repeat what is in the parenthesis 3 times. Finally, sc in the remaining sts. The (18) is the stich count for the whole round. I hope that makes sense and I'm sorry I was late with my reply! ❤️
Made the belly with the same yarn size and same crochet size and it came out too short to fit the shark 😭 I have to restart the belly and mesure the number or increase and rounds I do before decrease lol
Hi! You can try sizing up your hook a bit, too (just for the belly part). That might be easier! I know I tend to crochet looser when working in the row! 🥰
You can definitely double-strand the yarn, just make sure to use the right hook size and change the safety eye size (if using). I used around 100 grams of Sweet Snuggles Lite (size 6 yarn). ❤️
@loopsandknotscrochet I need help on how you flip the project and the different type of stitches you used also I don't understand how the belly starts to form a triangle type shape
I don't see the point in crocheting the whole shark in grey and then sewing on a white belly when it is perfectly possible to use color changes to built a white belly while building up the shark... it's just a waste of grey yarn...
I originally crocheted the shark with color changes, but I find it takes longer (because you have to secure each end or carry the yarn across when color changing). I'm of the opinion that both ways technically 'wastes' yarn, so I settled on the faster option! 🥰
My boyfriend's birthday is tomorrow and I decided to make this for him. So far, its coming out really well he loves marine life thank you so much!! ❤
Awwwh, happy late birthday to him! Did he like his gift? 🥰❤️

I never snap my yarn anymore! It takes an extra second but is so worth it! 🤭🥰

Wow! Six is a lot! I hope they sell well at your next event! And handmade gifts are always the best! 🥰☺️
I am so glad I found this. My granddaughter has been driving me crazy for a shark. The acrylic yarn idea is for the ring. Thanks
Oooo, I imagine she'll love it! 🥰🤗
I dont understand, mine came out like 2x as big as that😭😭
😅 good luck!
@@XxCaptainAudxX I figured it out and made it😎
Could be the yarn size or the crochet hook
Could be that your yarn is thicker then theirs, you're using a larger hook or that your tension is a bit loose
If you’re using velvet or chenille use a few hook sizes down

Can i use normal yarn instead of fluffy one? Pls let me know
You can, it will just feel different and the stuffing might show
@@lxstdxmxn6198the stuffing won’t show if they use the right hook and tension.. it happens with chenille too..
yes but it will come out much smaller than the og
@@-zinc-xx exactly that
Absolutely! It may turn out smaller, and you'll have to adjust your hook size, but the pattern should work just fine! 🥰🥰
When you are starting out in the increase is it like 7 single then two single in same stitch?
Yes! Increase is to single crochet in one stich😊
Yep! An increase is 2 sc in the same st. (Thank you, @JeleCROchet, for answering)! 🥰
Would it look the same, with the same shape and appearance if I made it with 100% cotton thread?
I imagine so! I think it was just my bernat baby velvet that was giving me trouble! 🥰
Regrading to the eyes, can someone tell me how to determine if it’s an increase stitch? Beginner getting a bit confused😢
Hi! It doesn't really matter too much. Once he's stuffed, the eyes should sit fine! I kind of made it more complicated than it needed to be. 😅🥰
I don't understand the eyes. How many stitches should they be apart from each other?
There should be around 12 stitches between the eyes, counting from the top of the head. Sorry I didn't reply earlier! 🥰❤️
Thank you!

Idk what I’m doing wrong but my belly has come out huge twice already 😢
Hello may I know how many cm is it ?😊
How much yarn did you end up using? Do you think it would work if I used two strands of yarn at once (to make the plush bigger)?
You can definitely double-strand the yarn, just make sure to use the right hook size and change the safety eye size (if using). I used around 100 grams of Sweet Snuggles Lite (size 6 yarn). ❤️
We can't get this yan
Can I do this with t-shirt yan
IT is too cute
The texture will be different, but if you're okay with that, then it should work just fine! 🥰🥰
What kind of shark is this?
I think it’s a Great White Shark
I dont understand how to crochet the belly can anybody help me 😢 (great tutorial tho😊)
Hi! Can you explain what you're struggling with? I'd be happy to help if you still need it! 🥰🥰
@loopsandknotscrochet I need help on how you flip the project and the different type of stitches you used also I don't understand how the belly starts to form a triangle type shape

hi do you yarn over or under?
I do yarn over! 🥰
I don't see the point in crocheting the whole shark in grey and then sewing on a white belly when it is perfectly possible to use color changes to built a white belly while building up the shark... it's just a waste of grey yarn...
Maybe this is a beginner tutorial? 🤔
