The sticker on top of the air cleaner box shows the butterfly position as perpendicular to the carb. So technically they are telling us that it needs to be perpendicular to the carb in the run position, not all the way back like we are used to.
I have one but mine is starting to like shut off and I have it fully choked on so I've been trying to figure it out but I see what you're talking about that should not be like that I'm the same way and I look it over
If you're having to run yours fully choked it means you're not getting enough fuel probably need to pull off the float bowl and see if the Jets plugged up
It appears that your choke lever is obviously twisted therefore allowing your choke to go a little bit farther than it should. Maybe the bike took a spill and it got bent.
@@spikemandan so coleman 200 performance parts fit the 100u I've been looking for a foam air filter for my 100u i only found one that was made for it but there sold out everywhere i was going to buy a 200 air filter kit but wasn't sure if it would fit

Ct 100u only runs on choke. Checked oil, plenty, drained the carb, clean. It was not sitting my son was running it around the yard. "Bumpy". Any ideas. He rides it daily so it hasn't been sitting.
There is a brass fitting on the top of the carb. It was a flat blade slot on it so you cana take it off. Once off clean it and run a tiny tiny wire through the center.
Bought my daughter one of them for xmas and just now getting to get it out since it's just now getting warm in Michigan. Anyway I got it to start up once and now when I try to start it there seems to be gas coming out if the carb butterfly. Not really too familiar with small engines so I dont know what to do. Coleman only gives a 90 day warranty which has passed
Bro, you win the internet for me today because there not only is a lack of ct100 vids (I have ct100u and ct200u) but the Coleman booklets have the wrong parts for their products! The ct100u manual that came in box has different diagrams and parts! For instance the brake caliper and throttle! Two very crucial components. While my ct200u has been like "butta'" I've had nothing but headaches from my ct100. Help Spike! Lol
You still having problems with it. I picked up the 100 and the damn thing idles so high...ok adjust idle screw ..but wait there's no head on the screw to turn and it's brass so if you touch it it turns to dust

I bought my ct200u off of Amazon and I went to the reviews and there is more 1 out of 5 star reviews more then 5 out of 5 reviews and im like damn, my friend was right he said watch when i get it its gone have problems and break, and every part on that mini bike is cheaply made in China and Coleman mini bikes are assembled and made in China😑😑😑😑😪 with that garbage chinese hisun off brand honda clone engine. had it since December 2019 and its August 2020 so that's 8 fuking months and now the engine is starting to act up. I start my mini bike up I let the engine sit there and run wit on choke. I turn it off it dies in like 3 seconds and it's recently started doing this even if the engine is warmed up and I turn off the choke and the mini bike just dies. The problems I've had with it is chain falls off all the f****** time even if I lube it and tighten the chain, my fucken throttle cable snapped, had to go through three brake levers because when my mini bike shipped to my house the brake lever was broke so I bought J-B Weld and weld it together it dried okay. Roll my mini bike for the first time on Christmas December 25th then six days later December 31st the J-B Weld doesn't work for the brake lever just snapped in half when I was coming to a stopping point so I had to use my feet to stop the bike. Ordered another one off of Amazon the same day came January 3rd 2020. Put that one on 9 days later January 12th I crashed my mini bike because the f****** stupid junkie carburetor throttle setup was stuck open when I was coming up a hill and I panicked and forgot to use the kill switch so I crashed and got a big gash on my arm with blood and holes in my clothes. I tell Coleman about it and they message me back and sent me another brake lever for free, JackShaft Chain Broke when i was riding down the hill and had to walk it all the way home 15 20 minutes, chain adjusting screws and nuts stripped so I had to order some new ones, and the bike is slow as shit 20 miles per hour ain't nothing. Why would I want to spend $500 on a bike that goes slow. My friend has a dirt bike that does 40 miles an hour and when we ride together he's always ahead of me all the time and I'll get embarrassed by people and they call my mini bike trash and s*** and other stuff. for any of you guys out there looking for mini bikes I would not recommend Coleman Powersport mini bikes please do not get them. I also heard that Coleman PowerSports makes dirt bikes also that do 37 and 55 miles an hour. I will not get a Coleman dirt bike too. I'm looking at an SSR Pit Bike right now and I'm saving up my money for it😊😊😊

Brand new ct100u. Engine dies while riding and then it won't start until engine cools off some. Fresh gas, so that should be OK. Tried to adjust idle screw and it didn't turn even with vice grips on it as it seems idle RPM is on the slow side. Any advice as to what I should do. Thanks

So over the last week it ran fine for a (very) little while but now I see the pull cord has about 4 inches of slack so the handle is not tight against the case. I removed the cover to see if something may have loosened and didn't see anything I could fix so I suppose I'll untie the knot and shorten the cord some and retie. Another thing. The idle screw, or at least what they show in the PDF document, need to be seated tight or it leaks gas! So is this the idle screw? You can't really adjust it. And now I can't get it to start at all. The grand kids were disappointed because they only had one other to ride. That one we bought used and it hasn't had any issues. I'll give your recommendations a try and see what works. Too bad they even use a choke. Primer pump on my Briggs works just as well and there's no choke shaft/butterfly in the airstream causing restriction. How stoned were you when you made this video?

Normally no but depending on what you're talking about I ride her at full choke and she loves it lol

Try cleaning the carb

take the carb apart and see if the float inside the float bowl is stuck sounds like its flooding
That could be the reason to shut off the fuel , and run it until it burns the gas left in the carburetor !! When storing..

did adding the straight pipe and air filter and drilling out the jet make a noticeable gain in power? or just louder? lol

If you look at at, when you are full open, your choke is twisted. Should not be twisted. Straighten it.
Got a newer ct100u and throttle is open all the way when you put it on full run.
check all the return springs see if that might be it

I would try cleaning your carb jets the idle jet may be plugged

Did find out I had overfilled it by maybe half a cup. Let it drain even to top of threads. Gotta wait till the grand kids ride it to see how it does
