    Cleaning with the same blade in place: Pour 2 cups clean water through while running. Use a quart jar to catch the water under the spout. Then process your next food.

    I use my veggie bullet almost every day. It has changed my eating habits and I eat way more vegetables and virtually no pasta. If you want to use it for sliced tomatoes, I recommend Roma tomatoes. They are a better shape for the chute and are a bit firmer, so you get nice slices. I also use the cauliflower rice to make pizza crust. There are several good recipes online. Both of your reviews are really well done! Very thorough. Nice job.

    I purchased this item from hsn. The xtra blades were a separate purchase. My reason for the purchase was a machine that would do more than one thing. I purchased the hand-held spiralizer, then the WP spiralizer and then a machine that chops, dice and slice. I checked w/customer service the agent prior to my purchase of the bullet and was assured it would also chop/dice veggies but I didn't see that in your demonstration/review. I'm glad I found your channel for it was very helpful. Now I can take it out of the box. Thanks.

    I like the veggie bullet. There's always going to be cleaning. But for the manual spiralizer, you won't cut your hand (done that before!). I've noticed that things heavy in water don't shred well.

    I have been looking for something like this since the Salad Shooter. I have the veggie tool and I find it difficult to use and I got another shredding tool from a home show and it did not lock onto my counter properly so this Veggie Bullet is great!
    As for cauliflower- it's always messy even when you cut it up manually.
    One thing you did not show but was on the infomercial was shredding or slicing broccoli stems. I have always hated tossing the stalk out. I really don't like broccoli but in small bites I will eat it.
    As for the small bullet container it would be handy to make a quick sauce or dip to accompany the veggies that are being prepped. You don't have to pull out another base.
    Thanks for taking the time to review the veggie bullet.

    hi, what i found helpful for me for some of my countertop appliances was to place potholders under them solely for the ease of moving them when not in use. also helps to cut down on black streaks made (on some countertops) by the appliances' bases. when i want to use one, regarding those with suction cups especially, i make sure the appliance is in just about the exact spot i want it to be in before turning on or even plugging in the machine, making sure the potholders are removed. certainly anyone could sub the potholders for something else more suited to the kitchen's decor, as long as it's removed before using the machine to avoid any possible issues from its' motor.
    (in some cases such as my air fryer, plugging it in activates the machine before even touching any buttons.)
    👍 keep up the super reviews! started watching your channel fairly recently, so decided to subscribe. 🙂

    Love that you did do part 2. Very good video! A couple of comments from me...when u did the tomatoe why not just wipe with paper towel. Also, before u do chicken, fill sink with soapy water, then just swish, swish and rinse. When slicing tomatoe, don't cut in half just trim one side, to make fit chute, and most slices will be prettier, I believe. Also, considering the time element, sounds like younger people didn't grow up waiting around 20 minutes for the percolator to make coffee; big comparison. If a person values their health and wellbeing, they will take any extra effort to feel better. Good Blessings to you! Keep the spirit and thank you!

    If i like and want something enough i always find the room 😊 Still love my machine, yes it does take up a lot of room with all the pieces but the ease of use makes up for it. Same as the food processors, lots of pieces to clean, multi task your prepping and it makes it so worth it! I find it much easier to put my food in the spout then i turn on the bullet, i find softer wetter foods do not get as mucky or mushed up. Great job!

    It really is a food processor of sorts, and with most of them, they offer an optional case to store parts. They need to do that with this machine. I agree, just too many parts to store if you don't have a container to house them. They probably don't want to include it because people would complain of the price, but, it could be an optional item that customers might want to consider down the road.

    I use mine for cauliflower rice, too, because this would be difficult to make without a machine. Like you I find the suction feet a nuisance beause they make it very hard to move the machine across the counter. I am thinking of storing the machine stuck to a tile with felt underneath, or a small chopping board, so it would slide, and taking it off when the machine is in use - that should work. I have a dead space behind the microwave (part of the alcove beside the old chimney breast in our 1920s house) and keep the spare bowl there, with some other kitchen gadgets that don't get used very often. Easy enough to reach over for them. I wouldn't use it for chicken - too much trouble to clean and I haven't got a dishwasher. For bulk veggie processing, it's great.

      Yes, but it takes a few second to rinse then versus cramming a brush in all the nooks for a minute. It take me about 10 seconds. Most of it is because of their spout design which is not well done. You also get the same food trapped on top of the blade issue with many other food processors.

    • @toriless
      @toriless 6 років тому

      Yeah, a few seconds between sometime steps until you are done with it and even then it it pretty quick.

  • @soupsgord

    I’d be interested to see if it’s still useful a year down the line. It seems like a lot of parts snd pieces to pull out and assemble for veggie prepping. My little manual spiralizer works really well to prep veggies and it takes me seconds to pull it out onto the counter and a few minutes to prep the veggies. I only need to clean the blades used for slicing. If I really need to save time I use my food processor. But again, too much clean up for prepping veggies. Your review was great but I’m not convinced that it’s a super useful item considering the money, space and clean up it requires.

    How about doing a video on how to butternut squash or beets spiralizer - I started using this machine recently at work and am quite inexperienced. The biggest complaint that I have is having to cut the veggies to size so I can fit them into the hole. For example a butternut squash. The bottom is too big and if I cut in half, you can't attach it to the base without falling it over when pressing it down. I also have to cut the sweet potato to size so it will fit in the hole. That's a lot of waste. Any suggestions or better yet why now do a video and show us how you do it. Thanks.

I already have the 900 HP NutriBullet and LOVE it. THIS would be an addition. Just a comment here, also. For the health minded person who would prefer to make their own foods, these thin slices that the Veggie Bullet does would be perfect for dehydrating, such as the potatoes for potato chips, etc.. I am also going to look into that! TY for an awesome video. LOVED it! :-)

      This works very well for me. I noticed that if you keep it running all the time you only drop in one or two florets at a time before you try to use the plunger because so much stuff is flying out. Whereas if you shut it off you can fill it up all the way and turn it back on again. It truly doesn't take up that much more time if you're standing in front of the machine.

    One thing that you don't take into account is that Veggie Bullet saves more time the more you do with it. Sure spiralizing one zucchini takes about the same time as the Veggetti, but what if you were cooking for a family? The cleaning time is a fixed value, whereas spiralizing 5 zucchinis is going to take a great deal longer with the Veggetti as opposed to the Veggie Bullet, not to mention how tiring it'll be for your hand, wrist, and arm.
    Therefore, to estimate to total time to spiralize zucchinis + cleaning time:
    If we do 3 zucchinis then...
    27.8s + 41.7 * 3 = 152.9 seconds. And that's assuming you don't slow down from getting tired because you're pushing vegetables through a giant pencil sharpener.
    Veggie Bullet: 51.8s + 22.6 * 3 = 119.6 seconds. You could probably chop off about a good chunk of time since he didn't even start spiralizing the zucchinis until after around 5 seconds had already passed. The time would probably be closer to 105-110 seconds total in that case, which would also mean you could do 3 zucchinis before the 1 minute limit. Anyway, even with the caveat of having to take 30-second breaks between each minute of spiralizing, the Veggie Bullet pulls far ahead the more zucchinis you process.

    • @toriless
      @toriless 6 років тому +1

      Yes, but using a hand cranked model like the Paderno or Brieftons is pretty quick as well if doing several items even though they do have more waste.

  • @TKH7399

    Awesome review. I'm a new subscriber, I found you because I wanted to check out the Veggie Bullet. When you did the Veggetti vs Bullet, I noticed the Veggetti gave you a thicker cut more like a pasta. Whereas the Bullet gave you more of an Angel Hair cut. My question is. After cooking any of the veggies after cutting them, wouldn't the Veggetti be better because the cooked spiral will turn out better if it's thicker? And is this processor better than other processors you've used? Thanks for making the videos! Onto your next review.

      ...and then spend an hour each day waiting for your cauliflower rice to thaw out. Heck ground beef take two days to thaw since you can't put it in water. I can make it from scratch faster.

    The real reason why the company decided to shelve the NutriBullet and come out with this bigger more powerful unit was there is a video that I just saw the NutriBullet has a rate of failure that was unprecedented and the company has a number of lawsuits that are still pending to this day
    The problem with the NutriBullet is the friction venting problem which the veggie bullet actually has a much larger base it has an open air venting system so the pressure doesn't really build up and it has fans for cooling the motor so that the high RPM generates friction and it doesn't overheat so the veggie bullet is a much much better machine it does work and the correct way is to purchase it online that way you'll get all of the accessories with it

    Probably be best to put onions and tomatoes in the freezer for a few minutes to firm them up before slicing and shredding. I do that with pepperoni sticks I want sliced or shredded due to the texture never working out well for those types of machines.

    On the disk in the containers that are supposed to make noodles, Curly fries and spiral noodles. How can you tell which blade is what? I just got mine last week and have used the disk for the shoot, but not the container ones. I notice # like 2 & 3 on the blade to these disks. They all look like they just slice. Pretty much all alike. Love this machine so far.

    Hello I have my blades stacked up on one top of the other did yours come with plastic case they store in they're own plastic case it's very organized and does not take alot of space and I love the cauliflower I would first put in the cauliflower in the shoot barrel than start the veggie bullet stop it and put in the the cauliflower again in the shoot and then start the veggie bullet it will not make such a mess on your counter top 😍💖❤great review but just giving you a tip oh and another thing I wanted you to know I make all my smoothies in the small container that it brang the one to make sauces in it works great! Made banana and strawberries with non fat milk to the line indicated and put in a scoop of protein powder and walla! Great smoothy yum yum it works! Requesting : Try it yourself and let me know how you did, Thank you sincerely Ada 😍

    I'm an elderly woman still cooking for myself. In the part 2 video I noticed you using two hands & arms to push down on the zucchini two get it to go thru the veggie bullet to specialize.. Would your mother be able to use this? Also..... with the chicken pieces stuck in the shoot & top I suggest using a small spatula to scrape out the bigger pieces that are left. Less waste that way. One last thing. I noticed on part one that not all of the zucchini looked like noodles. There were slices as well. Does that happen all the time? Thanks so much for you pros AND cons on this product.

    • @Freakinreviews
      @Freakinreviews  6 років тому +7

      I have found the spiralizer can take a bit of effort to push zucchini through the chute. My 74-year-old mom might have a problem doing that. And I have found that there are usually slices in addition to the noodles, and there is always a bit of "waste" as well. Hope this helps!

    I just bought the Veggie Bullet. First thing I tried was slicing radishes and it failed. The radish would not go on to the slicing blade. It just got stuck on the black dome. I couldn't press it through either. When I pressed it down it just split the radish. Have you sliced any radishes? I was so looking forward to having a supply of radish slices on hand and have a quick way to do it.

    I think the big selling point is that it does 3 things in 1 machine (probably 4 if you count the blending cup). What you should've timed is shredding, slicing, and spiralizing, then wash it vs shredding, slicing, and spiralizing same veggies but with different gadgets, then wash them all. Also I'm very interested in the blending option, are the cups compatible with the nutribullet's? How does blending with the veggie bullet compare with blending in the nutribullet (or any other blender for that matter)? I really hope there's a part 3 :) love your vids!

    • @Freakinreviews
      @Freakinreviews  6 років тому

      The blending is comparable to the other blender I use. What else would you like to see in a part 3? I haven't thought of anything else to do!

    • @robertoi.2072
      @robertoi.2072 6 років тому +2

      Freakin' Reviews wow thanks for your quick response! :) what about Part 3: More Q&A + Rematch battle... Veggie Bullet vs knife for shredding, mandolin for slicing (or a knife again) and the veggetti you used. Also I'm curious about what else I can spiralize with the vb, what about cucumbers and bell peppers or apples? or what would happen with chicken breast? I saw someone in the comments asking if it could spiralize beets and butternut squash. I think experimenting with the spiralizer would be very entertaining to watch! :)

    • @Freakinreviews

      I suppose you could, but turning it on and off 10 times seems like more effort than just cleaning up a few bits of cauliflower off the counter. Either way works, though.

  • @Crazywaffle5150

    I thought about getting one but I don't think I will now. I can do my slicing by hand. My shredding via a food processor. If I wanna make the cucumber spaghetti, I can just buy that Vegetti device. It takes up less room total than the bullet it seems with all the extra blades you need for it. Plus I would have less clean up.

    Other cons I noticed: The feeder is too wide for most vegetables, which is why the slices aren't pretty. I'm surprised they didn't think about an adapter. Also, it seems very noisy.

    How many zucchini can you spirilze before the container fills up. I would need to spirilize at least 6 zucchini for my family. Would I have to open it up after each zucchini?
