I live in a travel trailer and eat fast food a lot because so hard to cook in it, after watching your review of the Range mate pro I bought one, I can't even tell you the wonderful food I'm now eating... I'm sure my family is tired of all the pictures I send of my wonderful meals.

lol as an ex-employee there's like an 80% chance that is a dead rich guy's grill that he bought and never opened, silent generation americans (born 1928 to 1945) love AS SEEN ON TV stuff almost as much as James does, but they're so old by the time they get it in the mail they forgot they even bought it. unopened infomercial stuff is actually really common in estate donations and rich people LOVE their charity tax deductions, they don't even look through the boxes. found a signed Vonnegut once.

The range mate is better due to the grill curves in the cooking surface. It allows air to get under foods to make them crispy, and the ridges get hotter because all the heat travels up them.

Morrius07 Has anyone tried the marshmallows for a toasted effect in the Range Mate yet? It’s the 1st review that I have seen/heard for the Rangemate product. I’m in agreement with another previous poster regarding its size. Although the price ($80) is a bit steep for me.
BTW, were those beers up on the cupboards to drink or showing off that you had finished drinking? Either way, my hubby would give u a thumbs up.

I grew up with pretty wealthy parents and we used American cheese slices for grilled cheese. Don't think anyone used anything but sliced American cheese back in the 70s. Hell...I still do it that way! That is how it is supposed to be done. These days of having to have overpriced imported cheese to make a grilled cheese, is BS. When you make a grilled cheese, you want it how it was when you were a little kid.

A regular oven seems to still be the best option. It gets the crust crispy and can accomodate many more slices than any of the other options presented. I just reheat my pizza on a cookie sheet and I always get good results. If I'm feeling lazy, I'll add a layer of aluminum foil between the pizza and the cookie sheet. That way my only cleanup is to throw away the foil. Sure beats spending $40-$80+ on microwave dishes or air fryers. Plus, I don't have to find a space to store these "gadget" heaters.
A decent second option is reheating the pizza in a frying pan on the stove top. Again, it requires nothing more than what you already have in your kitchen.

Excellent and fair review. Really went all out for this one. I'd definitely go with the reheatza simply because I like things not as blackened or as crispy as the range mate pro makes them. And otherwise the performance between the two isn't significant enough to warrant an extra 40 bucks for the range mate pro. As for the fries, I'm convinced that the only way to make fries crispy again is to deep fat fry them again like they were in the first place, but doing that just to reheat fries is silly so it's better to just eat them first. You just don't get the same taste and consistency via any other method, including an oven.

I do put the leftover pizza in large ziplocks to keep them fresher and not get old looking from the cold in the fridge. #2 if anyone "must" reheat pizza in the microwave they should place paper towel at the bottom as well atop. I went on eBay to start looking into buying a Rangemate Pro or Reheatza. I found they're basically the same thing as the CorningWare MW3, which came out in the 80s. All of the above are based on searing things after heating the surface hot enough. I got a CorningWare MW3 for $15 + shipping. I just used it the 1st time & love it! The only difference is not getting the pretty grill lines, as it's flat.

If I still lived in a dorm I'd be really tempted to pick up that range mate pro which is selling for $60 now, your videos really sold me.
The amount of frozen food I eat is much less now and a toaster oven cooks whatever we eat now, leaving the oven as a nice countertop.

I think the air fryer oven would be more convenient as you can see your food when it's done and not like with the microwave products you have to take it out and check. I know I'll be getting that air fryer oven. Great review as always and love those tongs for sure. Will have to look for them as they are weird and funky lol.

Nice review/comparison. Does your Reheatza state in the manual what wattage of microwave is recommended? I'm currently using a Copper Chef Microwave grill & grill press. The lid is also ridged so it goes right on top of the food and cooks both sides at once. But it is designed for a 1100 watt microwave and I have a 1200 watt microwave. So I have to cut the time or power level for items. It might be another one to look at. It's about the same size as the Range Mate I think, but has a couple other features. Might be one to compare to the others. I paid $30 for it from QVC.
As to the fries, I prefer to reheat fries in the air fryer. They come out nice and crispy after four or five minutes and far better than any other method.

I have a Reheatza - I agree the RangeMate is probably the superior product.
That said - I *love* my Reheatza. For the single person, it is handy as hell. The key is all about the pre-heat, and follow-through.
You're basically making a small oven. I pre-heat for 3.5 minutes, and then hit three slices for another 3 minutes.
Works awesome, especially for something I got on the Walmart discount rack for 10 bucks.
