- Hi guys, its been a while since I last uploaded. In this video I'll be showing you a step by step guide on how to retrofit the BMW F30 LCI heated steering as well as the highly acclaimed BMW high beam assist. The video is quite long, I do apologise for that but there is a lot to talk about!
Shoutout to @ryansxperiance for making this a bit easier than it would have been by uploading a great steering wheel disassembly tutorial!

The best guide for FLA retrofit. And the best thing I liked was the wire adapter you used. That is the cleanest possibpe tapping.
Could you tell me where I can get that wire adapter? I don't need the whole kit as I already have the SZL and the mirror with FLA camera. I don't know how to search for it

Thanks for the great video! As I have seen, there are two ways to wire the mirror: Either you take out all the panels and pull the cables. Or you can choose the simpler option and connect the wiring directly behind the mirror. Unfortunately, I can't find the right wiring or this bypass anywhere to connect the mirror in this way. Do you have a link or can you tell me the components that I can use to put together the wiring?

Hi, my fabric mirror has alarm so its 2 wires already there. I bought mirror with FLA, alarm and auto-dimming. Please advice how to connect Autodiming properly so option 431 to be coded in VO. I read on web that somehow it could be connected to rain sensore because it use same K-Line. Thanks in advance! What if I take plus and K-line from rain sensor and ground leave as it was from fabric alarm?
Hey! I was looking for part number for FLA/Heated wheel control center. On the realoem, same part number says, that it fits for FLA with and without heated wheel.
It means that there may be 2 variants for same OE number, or just its same part, but you dont have to connect heated wheel?

You don’t have to connect a heated wheel it’s all activated through the szl which is the squibs/clockspring. If the indicator stalk doesn’t have the high beam assist button fla won’t work…
You can buy old style or new style szl as long as it has the high beam assist button it doesn’t matter

Yeah they aren’t common to find on eBay, I’d recommend maybe a car breakers yard, they should have this part available…

I’m still trying to figure this out myself! However it will never show as BMW approved as specialists connect to a specific BMW server to validate a service, otherwise you end up with the orange ‘BMW’ writing which isn’t worth it imo
Do you have the adaptive headlights as well or just the normal ones?
Just the normal headlights, they turn on and off as and when cars are in front

If you already have automatics dimming wing mirrors do you still need to do the bypass like you did?
You should have the wiring if you have folding mirrors already as this means you have a different wiring loom, however this method works if you have folding mirrors or not.
