Seeing the fear in homelander when he's actually facing his only ever proper challenge was brilliant acting on his part.
It's so on brand for him that when he was in the middle of this situation he decided to go for the weakest person in the room. The showrunner is so good and maintaining who these characters are supposed to be as individuals. This series is very well made. I'm glad they've planned a clear ending out at the end of next season instead of dragging it out till it's a shell or parody of itself.
@BeepBeepJohnny I was quite disappointed by season 3. In my own opinion it really achieved nothing in the whole scheme of things. They rescued soldier boy just to turn on him and then they refreeze him. I also think the way they did black noir in didn't do the character justice.

He lied about storming D-Day, bullied the hell out of his own group, was a narcissist with no understanding of boundaries, committed countless attrocities like butchering a lot of MM's family, the list goes on. THAT BEING SAID he is a really well written character and super entertaining. But I really don't like how people glorify him. Completely missing the whole point of his character.

He's also canonically offed more American citizens than enemy soldiers, MM's family being one of many 😭 He's about as much of a soldier as William Calley

Stan Edgar could be lying, considering that's kinda like the main thing Vought does is evil, and then lies about it to the public to paint themselves and their "heroes" as, well, heroes. Glorifying Soldier Boy is the same as glorifying Homelander. Sure, he killed some nazis. Sure, Homelander killed some terrorists. They also both killed a lot of innocent people, often under the guise that "these are bad guys!". Does the fact they're right about their victims being bad, maybe 5-10% of the time, make them worthy of respect or admiration, and outweigh all the evil they've done? ABSOLUTELY NOT. And THAT is my point. He was a little bit reasonable in combat, but he's also merciless. He didn't give a single second thought to ending Ryan's life either, a literal small child at the time. Wouldn't be the first kid whose life he claimed either, I'm sure. He never cares about casualties, like when he stormed HeroGasm as another one of many more examples. He bullied his team, violently, and brutally. Soldier Boy isn't just a self centered fool, he represents the worst most toxic aspects of masculinity in American culture, and how he was pressured to be like that through his peers and a father who never approved of him or loved him. He was sometimes devoted to the mission, sure, but did so with total disregard for the consequences of his actions or the actual completion of the mission. He's not all evil, of course. But he's like 80% - 20%, and arguably irredeemable. The Deep is legitamitely more redeemable than him, and the Deep is also irredeemable but an attempt like that would be more believable.
That was easily the most epic scene in the show so far.

I wish they could do a fight scene that actually shows a true depiction of Homelander’s power. He’s much stronger than being house level
I don't know if he really is. He's far more durable than he is strong, and most of that strength comes from his heat vision. He got absolutely pummeled by a falling train, and took a bit of time to escape that. I doubt his physical strength is much more than like 25-50x a normal human's.
Sure he could destroy an entire city because nobody can stop him, but it'd take him a really long time.
Well...when you're a superpowered Bully who never pushed his limits due to being more powerful than any hero or person on earth. I hardly believe they'll do it unless they bring back Soldierboy again...afterall his son is as powerful as soldierboy himself....but until then bro couldn't be challenged because everyone is paper compared to him

Homelander punches at around 100-200 tons of force. Homelander is actually around DCEU superman levels of strength. We can see this when he punches clean through black noir. Someone who's bulletproof (equal to 40-100 gauge steel) so to be able to punch through him would require an insane amount of PSI.

This might have been the first time Homelander actually fought against someone as strong as him and even he got scared of soldier boy because he fried the V out of everyone.....Homelander really is scared of soldier boy...
And this is also the only scene yet in the series which shows Homelander's true strength....If he had more experience fighting someone as strong as him before than he might have done better here but as we can see he's just keeping up with all three of them combine...and they nearly killed him..he was used to fighting people who was like paper to him as he could laser or just with a punch killed them thats why we dont see his true potential here
Homelander is submissive towards SB a little bit. Coz he is the father of Homelander, he fried the V out of the those supes and made them powerless, plus he watched his movies when he was a child so he sees SB as HIS hero.... and Soldier is the only one who is nearly strong as Homelander.

Soldier Boy is stronger then Homelander, but the only reason he was losing the 1v1 is because he just blasted herogasm, and that definitely took a bit out of him

Them holding homelander down makes no physical sense. Homelander is strong enough to lift all three of them. It doesn't matter if they're super strong.
