- hi! Sssami requested that i make a tuning tutorial and tbh i'm not sure if i'm qualified to be teaching since i learned everything from Yuunarii! but here we go anyway! sorry it's a little long winded. i'm not super great at editing or being concise

I've been making UTAU covers for quite sometime now(3/4 years??) and I never ever heard of that tuning plugin so I'm really happy I found your video! It really helps speed up the process

7:23 Process
2:23 Swoop note
-
2:31 Longer notes
- little notes between little notes
-big notes between bigger notes
-Add a small dip
2:48 Drop down
/Use when going from 1 note to a note farther below
-Drag a little left on first note & little right a bit to the second note editing
-Left dot side UP a couple of notes
-Right dot side couple notes BENEATH
-I guess think of it like a rollercoaster going up for that momentum and then a SHARP dip down, then back to normal on the note

@A Longer note that has multiple notes you can use a thunderbolt
- like a big swoop
-One dot literally right underneath the note
-Another dot about 2-3 notes beneath
-Last dot is connected back to the note in general

For some reason whenever I open pitch editor the notes are squished together? I don't know how to explain it but it's just weirdly like that. Anyone know how to fix it?
Nvm I fixed it, if anyone wants to know there's these two left and right arrows at the bottom next to eachother and click the right arrow
Hi! I have a question, how do you zoom in in pitch editor? It works fine, except it's SUPER zoomed out. Thanks!
the two left and right arrows on the very bottom far left, above the OK button! at least those are what work for me

np! yea i went a very long time off of youtube with utau not knowing anything so pretty much everything i know how to do is because of yuunari lol. i might do another tutorial soon because already my methods have started to change

I cannot see the pitch lines even after I activate ~
Select Mode2 if you haven't CTRL+A then right click a note and press "Pitch". Make sure Portamento has a BLACK check mark next to it (Note: This resets all existing tuning!)

I think I'll finally be able to tune USTs now! Is the process the same for CV as it is VCV?
yes! the plugin works for any type of voicebank!
when ever i click okay it doesnt go onto the notes, but when i re open picth editor my tuning is still there?
its very possible this editor is outdated/having new errors due to its age and arguably i haven't used it in ages since i now tune in synthv and then convert the project using utaformatix. but i'll take a look at it tomorrow and see if it's still working on my end and i can try to help from there !

Im Super Confused. I can write Stuff but when it plays i dont hear anything. Im Pretty new so im probably missing out on stuff. But Ive watched tutorials and followed their steps but nothing works help aaaaaa (Ive watched Yuunarii's Tutorials and some others)
Have you changed your locale to Japan? Because that can usually play a huge part in it. Also, if you're using a UST but the voicebank isn't singing, I think it depends on the type of UST and type of voicebank if that makes sense. I also had trouble with this in the beginning, (I'm fairly new to utau aswell), and another huge thing is having a Hiragana keyboard installed. Some voicebanks can only read Japanese, so installing a Japanese keyboard and maybe a Romaji to Hiragana plugin might do the trick. My plugins haven't been working though, so if that's the case for you aswell, I recommend just looking around for different USTs. Hope this helps! :)
@@qwurti I do have Japan On. I Have Everything on that has to do with Japan Actually. Ive done what they say. Ive Been trying to do a UST With Teto. The UST Is Night Running By (I forgot XD Hold on)
@@zxnnie_zxn7023 Ohh I see. I think it might be the type of UST that it is?? I'm not sure, I might be wrong. For example, a ust could be vccv and then the voicebank could be cv so it might not work, I'm not sure- I think trying with another voicebank would be easier because Teto is hard to use in general, I definitely recommend Anna Nyui (specifically vivid or raw) because her voice is very high quality and easier to use. I wish you good luck!

Nice tutorial! But can you help me? When Im done with my tuning notes I press OK right? Yeah but it does not apply to the notes...
I also experienced this issue.. But I found out how to fix it! You have to tap the Mode 2 switch just right at the top screen It'll show the tuning lines you have applied! Sorry for late reply. I hope you still use utau until this day! Even if you already knew, I'm glad to atleast help :D
What should I do, if it doesn't zoom in and just shows me my notes thin and small? TwT

Hey! Your tutorial was really entertaining and I learned a lot, and I started to tune and it was really fun (bc I know how to tune in Vocaloid but not in UTAU XD) but, after that, the plugin (and also moresampler) stopped working for me. When I try to open Pitch Editor it gives me an error message saying something about "The floating point "230.00" is not valid" and something about "acces violation in "pittrace.exe" in (a bunch of letters and numbers)" and it really pisses me off cause I really wanted to tune :(. I tried to post something in Utaforum but it wont let me confirm my account so I cant post and ask someone, on soundcloud no one responds to me either... I hope that you could help me with that. Its no problem im you cant ^^.
OsoPan sorry for the late reply! i do remember i got this error once, but unfortunately i dont remember the exact steps i took to resolve it. so ill go through the basic questions first ;w; did you remove the plugin entirely and reinstall it? im going to presume youve closed utau and reopened it a few times at least ^^”
@@ricecristpy I did, I changed some symbol thing that other users had an issue with and at least moresampler and pitch editor now work. But the plug in won't work with my utau for example. The same window appears.
@@OsoPan do you have discord or twitter or something we could look at pictures on? if none of the basic solutions are working then we should probably move somewhere to where i can see exactly what's popping up and what it says and all that. i am determined to figure this out with you lol

How do I tune without a mouse?? ;-;
I'm not sure that's possible. UTAU is a desktop program so it requires a mouse pretty much everywhere else too. There may be a way with utau-synth but I've never used it, I only use Windows utau.

I use utau on my pc- also I think I figured it out! I just pressed the “F” key then I start d to tune but it was VERY responsive so yeah the red lines were very crooked lol.

Did you guys unzip the file the plugin came in? And also make sure to select your notes BEFORE opening the plugin
How did you get your pitch lines curved like that?!🤯🤯🤯
There's different curve types outside of the editor- if you right click on any of the points, theres 4 different kinds of curves- I believe S curve is the default?? R curve is nice too

its a mod called utaucolors! its really unstable though and since moving to a new pc ive stopped using it. theres a few tutorials on utaforum though if youre interested in figuring it out!
I have an error, when I open the plugin it says access violation and when I try to close it it does not close it keeps saying the same thing, please help me

i am so sorry i've never had this problem! did you double check that everything is in the right folders and you have Mode 2 selected? I've never seen that error before so we should probably go through the basic checklist first

You might have the wrong folder dragged into the plugins folder

@@ricecristpy it's different in the video but when I put longer note and I use the plugin it will looks like the note is short so it's hard for me to edit the pitch like that
@@aika5640 Thats becuz u need to zoom in, (The comments talk about the issue but for ur sake ill just explain it here) Just from the very far bottom left theres a left and right arrow above the “OK” button. Use those and i think you should be in the clear
