I've followed the instructions here, but every time I try to play the song no sound comes out. I've tried both the voice that comes with UTAU and Teto, but nothing changes. I'm using the same UST you did. Do you have any ideas how to fix this?
Hi, I'm still having difficulty with getting the program to run properly. I followed everything from the first video you made, I downloaded the same UST file you did in this tutorial however when i press play the default voice bank doesn't sing.
On UTAU it says that uta doesn't have any files. I don't know how this happened, but her samples were working fine before I switched the language settings from Japanese to English
When I download the beginner voicebank from the official site, it doesn't download as a zip. When I try to find the voicebank in UTAU, it tells me all the folders are empty. I've been looking online for answers for a few hours now and nothing helps. ;-;
ShadowMellow Okay, so I downloaded Teto and the World is mine USt (The same you did in the video) and I dragged Teto, got her into the program and got the UST into the program, so I selected the beginning and pressed play, nothing happened. So, then I went back to the Utau that comes with the program and pressed play on a part with no red boxes, and nothing happens. I know you can play a specific part even if there are red boxes in the song, because later in the World is mine UST for Teto, there is another box that you didn't get rid of (I don't think) and it played perfectly fine for you, so I'm just confused if maybe it's my computers problem.
+Rinoa Salamander The program doesn't ask you to do it but utau won't be able to read the hiragana ie the japanese alphabet if you dont do it. I showed it in the first part 1 of the tutorial.

I've also been trying to learn how to get into VCV voicebanks, but I'm having enough problems as it is. UTAU's installed on an external storage and it looks as though not everything's set right. When I try to do the 'reset' sequence for the USTs, my computer always comes up with an Overflow Error after pressing the second crossfade button. And idea how to fix it?

+Friendly Otter Usually after you install the UTAU program all usts are automatically set to open with UTAU. Have you tried to right click the ust and set UTAU as its default program? If that isn't possible, you can always open the ust through the program by opening it, going to file, open and then pick the file you want to open.

+ShadowMellow so i watched this (i was busy earlier sorry) and i have the voicebank Anna Nyui Candy. I loaded her, and imported a ust, which was amazing magician. and it will now play. at all :( her voicebank is hiragana, and so was thw ust, so i dont know what's wrong anymore :[
I assume you downloaded the Makkusan ust? Then it's because the UST is in CV and Anna Nyui Candy is in VCV. CV and VCV are different recording types which makes the voicebank more smooth depending on the style and the USTs have to be adjusted accordingly. You need to download a CV to VCV plug-in to let the bank sing it. I use the Lyric Diphonizer here: www.mediafire.com/download/2vkq2vf8723rt8e/Lyric+Diphonizer.zip Alternatively you can also download the Namine Ritsu CVVC plug in. While it is meant to be used for CVVC, which is a different recording style, it also has the option to convert to VCV though that plug in is in Japanese I think.

Also, I noticed in the World is Mine ust there's an envelope that won't disappear even after I do the "reset" sequence and click the "normal" button. The properties are all good and clear, so I don't know what it's implying. How do I fix it? It's not preventing the note from playing, but it sounds a bit off with syncopation and the beat.
+Arlax Wolf Yup! Once you copied the unpacked folder into the voice folder, you can delete the .zip! Oh looks like you got an annoying one. When you encounter that, open the envelope again. It really depends on how it looks but usually you need to drag the points around until the red lines don't cross each other. If the lines don't look like they cross each other, drag the last visible point to the right. Sometimes the last point gets hidden behind the second to last so drag it to the bottom right. I hope it makes sense;;

How did you get the ust to open with the UTAU program? It doesn't give me the option to do that

Every UST and voicebank is usually set to a language but there are Korean voicebanks and USTs out there so it is possible.
