    Bout to go crabbing for first time this weekend. What oz would you prefer to snare crabs with at Pacifica ?

    • @thefishcrippler1827
      @thefishcrippler1827  10 днів тому

      I never been to Pacific, but from what I’ve seen it can get pretty rough there. I would just bring extra lead weights you can attach to your snares just incase. I’m throwing 6-8oz including the bait. Good luck out there!

      One was a Penn Fierce 5000. I would recommend a bigger reel than that tho. The other reel was a Penn Battle 6000. The poles were Ugly Stick Big water, and the other one was a Penn Fierce

    great video - my daughter and I are heading to the coast for some crabbing and shore fishing over thanks giving. We were thinking bodega bay. If you have any recommendations that would be great. We would like to do some fishing from the cliffs for ling and rock fish, try some jetties, and do some beach crab snaring. She is 10 and wants to forage the tidal pools, fish and crab. We tried last year during the Christmas break, but that atmospheric river killed us. Great videos though, keep it up. If you ever want to do a road trip and come to Utah for some footage I'd be happy to show you my secret spots for striper and walleye on Powell, Kokanee, crappie, and trout.

      Thank you! The safest jetty for your daughter would be Doran Beach, great for crab snaring and plenty of critters during low tide. Beach snaring, I would do Salmon Creek. For Rock fishing and lingcod I would drive a little up further North to Jenner.
      Oh Boy! I love crappies and stripers. We definitely like to road trip in the future and will definitely take up on your offer. Thank you!
