I don’t have friends with boats😢. I went to salmon creek beach just north of bodega. The weather was prefect. 3 mph off shore wind and 60 degrees. Throw a 16oz snare from the beach is a good workout
@thefishcrippler1827 thanks that's what I thought. We're heading to Bodega during Christmas break if the weather is good. Last year was no bueno, we didn't make it further north than redwood city (we were driving north and decided to go home early.
They are closed after sunset. And I have gotten tickets for staying in the gate longer. I was out there at 2am, I parked outside the gate and walked in.

I love crabbing at night! I usually like to go with friends, but if they’re not available I don’t mind going alone. Very peaceful. And spooky lol

Nice crab at night. I struggled for 3 on salmon beach yesterday but they were all over 7”
