    Nice video, thank you ! Just a little question : do you have the reference of the keycaps at the bottom at 0:10 ?

    • @ireakhavok
      @ireakhavok  2 роки тому

      Yes, those are the g.skill crystal crown keycaps! Actually love that profile.

      @@remi2255 I made some resin keycaps with a mold made from the crystal crowns. I do also have a video on that GMMK compact if you wanna see more b-roll

    I am having trouble understanding the steps a little so we remove the old key things that hold the keys and replace them with the new 120 pack of Red Switches if I am correct we lube it then assemble. We put it in the key slots and put on the new HyperX 120 pack.

      so the keyboard can come without switches, you can buy the keyboard without the switches. I had already put some switches in the board so I could record the sounds of the switches before and after I modified them.
      But yes, you take them out, open them up, brush some lubricant inside the switch, close the switch back up and put the keyboard back together.

      @@ireakhavok After a long time of looking I found out this is the best one yet, Even though my computer does not support USB-C cable port I later found out that I can use a USB-C adapter. I can plug it in into my USB port for dongles, chargers, and more and it will (I hope) will work just fine. I reached out to Glorious to ask them if it works, if so all I would need is the Gateron Red Switches with the HyperX keycaps. I think the build would look really nice with the other stuff I am getting for my setup. Thanks for helping me out a lot!

    Wish I could find the HyperX caps in ISO. Apparently the Steelseries puddings have a much worse finish.

      Good to know! Yeah I really like the finish on the Hyperx caps. I have heard similar comments on the Steelseries caps!

    eeeeey this is my keyboard & switches, but with GMMK's aura v2 keycaps that look pretty much identical. just finished lubing it last night. i think this thing might be some form of gateway drug cause now i feel the need to buy a lubing station and try a bunch of other kinds of switches lmao.
