    This may be the most concise, purely informative video I've seen regarding this subject. Thank you for taking the time and effort it took to create and post this. This information is timeless.

      @Briggs Gibson Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
      I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.

    Great video, thanks for taking the time in showing us far less experienced archers the basics with arrow tuning. This is the kind of info that sticks with a person for their lifetime.

    I am 14 Years old, and i buy my own Black widow 50 Lb bow, and it works perfect! Thanks for all and continue that good work with your great hunting bows!

      the fact that you're 14 is irrelevant.

    • @oscburger99
      @oscburger99 9 років тому

      Im really strong, i can use it without any problem, anyway i only use it for big animals hunting. I shoot using a 45 pounds recurve

    • @DIA4000
      @DIA4000 9 років тому

      thats good! do you exercise back muscles too? anyways im just jealous because i don't have such a pretty bow and bowhunting is illegal where i live

    • @oscburger99
      @oscburger99 9 років тому

      Well dont worry about the bow looking, remember black widow bows are bows of prestige for hunters, i got a 1970 OnePiece model. Its worth around 500 Dollars actually for sure. Where do you live? And yes im swimer, i practice karate, lima lama and Tae kwon do. Im black belt in one of those

      @@DIA4000 Could YOU handle a 50 lb bow at 14?

    Finally a simple video that hit everything on the nose. If your new to traditional archery remember to not take so many opinions vs fact. This video is fact. The guys at black widow are awesome and they make a great bow. Practive Practice Practice and HAVE FUN. The other great video on you tube is by black swan archery. That's just as good as this. Check it out.

    is there a standard weighted tip that a person should try to use I am shooting a 42 pound longbow

    • @dlc1119
      @dlc1119 4 роки тому

      Short answer - no. Longer answer - it depends on what shoots the best for you. Playing with point weights is a way to fine tune after getting your shafts close as possible to perfect tuning. You might find that 125 grains works great, or maybe your set-up shoots a bit better with 100's or 145's. And -then- you switch to broadheads and maybe it changes again. There is no substitute for trying different points to see what works best for -your- set-up.

  • @gregson99

    my arrows sometimes fish tail through the air. Could this be bad release? Next time im going to use a trigger release instead of tab and see if they fly straighter

    • @nathansmith5331
      @nathansmith5331 8 років тому

      If your using a tab with to much leather hanging over it WILL make your arrow fishtail. If you want to know for sure shoot with mechanical release and the results wont lie.

    I've got my bareshafts cut down to the point of landing nock center past 20 yards, showing about an inch weak at 40. I'm sure feathers will stiffen & correct for those distances, but in my living room , no more than 7yd, I CANNOT for the life of me get the nock to drop down level. I have micro calibrated my nocking point so many times I don't have any hair left to pull out. Thing is, at 20yd, it's level. What do I make of this?

    • @tobyessick5982
      @tobyessick5982 7 років тому

      If you are shooting 3 under you need to put a nocking point under the arrow as well and it will probably help.

    • @dlc1119
      @dlc1119 4 роки тому

      Your arrow isn't out of paradox at 7 yards. No biggie.

    Hmmm... I finally followed Ann's advice and took Woodprix. It's great for beginners and has some advanced stuff too.
