Thank you for actually showing how to do this with instructions. I have watched at least 10 videos that gave no instructions, and used a ton of tools I have never seen and called it easy. This is the first video that actually helped me.
@@firebladex8586 He has a point. Lots of "easy" DIY projects show the use of electric planers/thickeners, routers, electric miter saws, nail guns, gluing with corner clamps, dovetail joinery and table saws for ripping. Easy is in the eye of the beholder, I guess.
This is a true diy video. Thank you for using basic hand tools. And I really appreciate you showing how to balance and nail when it's just one person (yourself) who's building. Great video!
thank you! this was great for a beginner like myself, especially the bits like not nailing both nails in and working from the bottom to the sides to allow for wiggle room. it is helping me learn how to think about builds
Your video is really helpful however I would like to make a smaller one and I was wondering if could plz help me to get the correct sizes of timber I need. I want a crate with measurement of 14” 10” 8”. Can u plz let me know how many of pieces of each sizes I would need. Thank you so much in advance.
I'd high recommend using a quality wood glue, using a wet wash cloth to wipe away any excess. Yes this truly makes a big difference in terms of durability and lifetime of each crate. With rising costs, money is nothing to burn through. Even if your wood was free, your time is not. The one commodity we can't renew. So make every minute count.

Hi how do I hide the nails after I have hammered them in? Is there a way to camouflage it?
@@lildoc not really . If u painter it u could use wood filler
@@DavidsDiyReviews Thanks!

What is your opinion on using a decent quality plywood?
i wont look as good and it wont nail together very well but if its all you have or what ever the reason is give it a try and see how it goes.
Wouldn't the bottom fall out with any significant load?
No it doesn’t
Do you know how many crates one 4x4 can make?
It would depend how long it was

@@DavidsDiyReviews you are welcome
which wood is used in this video?
It is spruce 4 x 4 that I ripped into boards
I'm making one of these for my ute. It'll slide under my toolbox. I'll add rails.
That's a cool idea. It should work out pretty well for that.
how much would the wood cost
i have no idea
❤

I'm going to make crates to transport car rims safely. To and from the powdercoating company. I hope they do a careful job and not be too expensive.
ya that could work great.
I will try to do it with Woodprix plans.
ya go for it.
