I completely agree. I love gradual unlocks. Hell, I play lots of classic RPGs. Those games are basically all gradual gratification instead of instant. I remember Smash Ultimate getting a lot of flak because you had to unlock the character. People screamed about "But muh competitive play". Nah, I'm glad that game stuck with classic unlocking.
Yeah I agree. I grew up with that old fashioned way, of unlocking stuff in games. It's always a great time collecting everything and being satisfied seeing your all hard work completed.
On the one hand I love gradually unlocking things but on the other the characters I most want to play are Kale, Caulifla, Kefla, Rosé, Zamasu, and Fused Zamasu so it might take a while for me to get them and idk who I want to play until then
Unlocking characters is cool, I'm just so terrified of the possibility the game will be monetized and they'll pull some dumb shit like making gogeta and broly preorder exclusive

Probably the effects kinda blurring movements and making the game hard to look at when at a high level. Also some of the animation looks kinda choppy ngl, at least for the game releasing so soon.

That dlc system is looking realy nice, 7 names (characters and forms) in one dlc, thats a whole goku(end) right there, good that they didnt go for the xenoverse 3 names per DLC, makes every dlc drop a big addition to the roster.
and since gohan and piccolo are already in the base roster, their new forms plus the gammas and cell max, and possibly pan that's already 6. Thats kinda crazy, I wonder who else they're gonna add for superhero. Possibly Dr. Hedo?

I figured out who the mystery character is, if anything it's so obvious. It's Fu. Why? One of the games biggest selling points is what if alternative histories and the ability for users to also make their own brand new what ifs and share them online. Fu is the literal embodiment of this.

A small detail that you missed If you look closely at the right rock formation. When vegeta punches the rocks that are in the air from the hit actually collide with his punch and move forward
Mystery playable character being “Akira Toriyama” himself, that would be wild. This would be the first game after his passing and it would be legendary for him to be in (hopefully) the best Tenkaichi game to be ever made.
My two cents on the "share your own creations" part of the Sparking Zero site: I honestly dont get where people get that this will be some sort of "what-if story sandbox builder". That section doesn't even use the phrase "What-if". To me its more likely that it will just be an additional way to share the matches you play. In BT3 (and maybe others- Ive only played 3 though) you could view and save match replays. I think there will now just be an extra option, "upload", that lets you upload your replay so other users can watch your matches too. Maybe even giving the option to fight the same battle (given the characters have their own custom loadouts and such). That being said- if there really was a "create your own story" mode- where you can set up fights with custom cutscenes, that would be amazing. But with as many characters as sparking zero has (184+ now because of the 3 confirmed dlc packs) that would be Soooooooooo many possibilities to code, that I just cant see it being feasible.
I was expecting the release date to be sometime next year, so this is an amazing surprise! I'm so glad that they're trying to keep a lot of the aspects from the original BT series. This is gonna be so damn fun😤😤
Btw to answer your question, they ARE gonna be adding back the analog stick minigame for the clash mechanic since I've seen early footage gameplay from the summer fest thing.

It's just an effect, not an actual aura, similar to wind blowing upwards. His aura could be costunizable however this seems like a hyper tense mode when you overcharge your ki for an ultimate attack.
imagine if the secret preorder character is someone from the manga, im aiming for that but if its not the case, im 100% sure it could be someone as arale, a character from other work of toryama that isn't that popular as other main dragon ball characters that could be dlc, someone like nekomajin Z or someone from sandland, or even imagine if its just monaka, the posibilities are huge
Something I wish is that these what ifs actually have lasting consequences that go saga to saga like changing something in the frieza saga effects the cell

There will not be GT. Not even in half a year after the release. The first dlcs are DB superhero and a while after that it will be DB daima with the baby characters
Honestly when they give us outfits and stuff for the characters I hope the give Goku(super) his farmer outfit. Imagine being super saiyan blue with farmer clothes. Or ultra instinct but just the farmer pants.
A note for that piccolo teleport combo, seems that they heard the fans complaints about the jarring camera jerking from when goku and vegeta did it and made it more like rb2 which is exciting. Glad they’re listening to feedback

8:00 Alright, hear me out. They promised to amp up the destruction effects from previous entries, but the HTC doesn't *have* anything to destroy except the single building. This would be the easiest way to have the mode, and the enhanced destruction at the same time.
You have to hold the square button when you do the dash attack and then you will give a hit that will knock your enemy far away, then you can give the vanishing knock back moves
the couch coop is only in the time chamber because it would be to taxing on the system to have coop on other stages because you can break stuff on other stages
The reason you can only play in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber in local multiplayer is that split-screen gaming requires significantly more performance. This is because your system has to render the picture twice instead of once. The Hyperbolic Time Chamber is essentially an empty space, so there is much less strain on the system since there are no high-resolution 3D meshes or textures that need to be rendered twice.

If I remember correctly, can’t nappa create an artificial moon like vegeta or are you saying that he looked at a moon on the stage and transformed?

I like the way the what if's are being handled, choices that you make that lead to different conclusions and such, some people still think it would allow for stuff like "OMG GOGETA SSJ4 IN THE FREEZA SAGA" like how would a simple choice even lead to that

Honestly when they give us outfits and stuff for the characters I hope the give Goku(super) his farmer outfit. Imagine being super saiyan blue with farmer clothes. Or ultra instinct but just the farmer pants.
A note for that piccolo teleport combo, seems that they heard the fans complaints about the jarring camera jerking from when goku and vegeta did it and made it more like rb2 which is exciting. Glad they’re listening to feedback

8:00 Alright, hear me out. They promised to amp up the destruction effects from previous entries, but the HTC doesn't *have* anything to destroy except the single building. This would be the easiest way to have the mode, and the enhanced destruction at the same time.
I liked in DBT2 when you cleared a battle youre supposed to lose, you unlocked a special saga
You have to hold the square button when you do the dash attack and then you will give a hit that will knock your enemy far away, then you can give the vanishing knock back moves
I think the hyperbolic time chamber is the "offline" mode
Unlocking characters will be cool and everything in this game is going to be lit. Mystery character will be android 21, beast gohan, and etc.
the couch coop is only in the time chamber because it would be to taxing on the system to have coop on other stages because you can break stuff on other stages
I'm gonna place my bet and say Android 21 is gonna be that mystery pre-order character

The reason you can only play in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber in local multiplayer is that split-screen gaming requires significantly more performance. This is because your system has to render the picture twice instead of once. The Hyperbolic Time Chamber is essentially an empty space, so there is much less strain on the system since there are no high-resolution 3D meshes or textures that need to be rendered twice.
I think what they meant by "exclusively in The Hyperbolic Time Chamber" was that it was a option on the menu.
