I'm so early in my journey I don't even have my Warhammer 40k army yet! Glad I found your channel you seem like a really awesome person and I look forward to watching more of your vids!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. My journey was slow too! I don't have any 40k armies and have no intention of doing so. My next video for the Tyranid painting will explain why.
Painting and createing scenario pieces is something magical as anything that has something to do with creativity. Social media is a very sharp double-edged sword when it comes to our own stuff tho. I mean, there's always shiny new stuff, shiny new technics and all that but, at least for me, when it comes to sitting down and doing the work, all we see around in youtube and instagram gets out of sync with reality and that can cause some mental disconfort. All we do takes time, all we do needs a lot of practice and will create this long path of "failed" projects and it seems like that just happen to us (which is absolutely crazy lol). I'm just stopping by to thank you for the video because while I always hope that people can grow their channels and all that, it's also always amazing to find someone just talking about the hobby, doing their stuff and documenting their journey. Not to sound weird or anything, but for some people like me that doesn't have many people close that's interested in the hobby, these videos and corners of the internet feels like having a casual chat with a friend.
@bvshark89 I appreciate that, and I'm glad you've been watching. I'm not going to shy away from documenting my failures as well as my successes, and I'm also sharing "behind the scenes" type stuff, as well. This hobby is fun and very rewarding, but like any hobby, mastering it takes time and a lot of practice. The big name crafters here are amazing and inspiring, but they took a long time to get where they are and newcomers to the hobby need to be comforted knowing that it's okay to fail. It's how we learn and improve.
Great vid. Thanks for sharing. I’ve been at this for awhile. Model building started at a very early age 7 or eight. Then getting into gaming -AD&D-about 1980 in high school I bought some miniatures, Ral Partha, Grenadier boxed sets of things. My minis were Not so great. I’ve always enjoyed it and I’ve always done it and I can say I’ve gotten pretty good I think since then. Not to the level that seems to be all over out there, but that’s OK. My Pieces are primarily for gaming purposes and they fit the bill. I’m constantly learning from my mistakes. Trying new things. It’s all fun. And that’s the point. I just started getting into foam building and 3-D props for gaming. So that’s a learning experience. But I enjoy it and that’s what’s important.
Glad to see your vids. Honestly, we all learn as we go. It's OK to take your time I strongly suggest build for what _you_ want. Less chance of burnout, and more of your own personality in the chan. We're pulling for you As for the graveyard tree roots, those will be fine. Once you hit them with some "muck" paste, a bit of grass, maybe some leaf litter, and they'll look totally natural. 💯
Keep Crafting!
Always!

Great vid, thanks for sharing. Nice to see you are an average person like many of us, doing great work with what you have available.
I try to be as approachable as possible! Thanks for watching.
I agree, it is important to work with what you got and mistakes are ok. Subbed
@@Giggan-h2r Thank you!
You're doing great, it could be playable if you make a bunch of them and treat it as a modular scene in a gaming table
I was thinking that, yeah. Shelved for now, but I'll come back to it after some brainstorming.

Thanks so much for your kind comment! I've been doing what I want for the most part and will carry on!
