This band is the absolute. Cory Wong is unstoppable, Mark Lettieri is just too awesome, Joe Dart the maestro himself, Nate Smith is a legend. Truly a crazy combination Jack has assembled here.

I just can’t believe they all get these crisp, fantastic tones out of such minimalist setup. And then there is Nate on the drums playing a 30 piece kit with barely 3 pieces. By far my favorite band in the world right now and it isn’t even close.
The Paradiso show was the best show I've went to last year - great to revisit is. Illumination is beautiful - love how Cory Wong is channeling Satch at his most beautiful.

i like that Nate's drums and LC's drums are processed ever so slightly different so that in Cessna you can clearly hear which part is Nate's and which part is Louis'. very cool engineering and mixing work
Also a cool detail is that they panned the drums from audience perspective. When they are both playing you can hear Nate on the right and LC on the left. When they are both playing take one headphone out to "isolate" each of them

I dunno, I would say Sonny T and Petar Janjic are just as good, if not even better for my money. The latter has the benefit of the rest of Cory's band, too, which is by far my current favorite band overall. The last two Cory Wong concerts I went to have completely blown me away. They are incredible! That's not to say I would be disappointed, by any means, having to sit through a Joe Dart and Nate Smith set. It's win win either way!
The monochromatic uniformity and guitar standitude give me a Kraftwerk by way of Devo sensation in my pineal gland. Couldn't have happened to a better band.
I think FF + LC playing Bank Account is my favorite song of all now. They did SO GOOD. The saucy fills, the tight syncopation, everything about it was INFECTIOUS and GROOVY

I stumbled upon Wong's Cafe on YT Music during the start of the pandemic. It's led me here and I'm obsessed with Vulf and Cory's music. These concerts were amazing and I wish I was there in person. Amazing performance!
