i know im asking randomly but does anyone know of a way to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me.
@Aaron Rogelio thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Can you please do a video on how to switch off Lane Assist and test that is actually switches it off after you uncheck the box? I feel it sometimes does and sometimes doesn't. What's the trick?
I wouldn't use this on a single carriageway like this - too risky. Ok for motorway usage under good driving conditions - should just keep your fingers / hand on bottom of wheel and just use it to reduce amount of steering input on long journeys.....it's akin to old cruise control, non adaptive, - which still requires you to pay attention to the car in front and brake or adjust cruise control speed. It's an aid not a steering replacement.
You probably do not mean the Passat B8 (from 2014 until present). The B8 has a very advanced ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) system which brakes and accelerates automatically (radar- & camera-based). I agree though that this system as well as the Lane Assist have their limits - ignoring them is very dangerous! Check out our other videos which show the limits of other systems (ACC, parking assistant etc.)!
@@nerdrides I think what he meant was that the current lane assist is as good as the old-fashioned cruise control. Meaning, it is not lane centering, has a lot of limits, so it is not as advanced as systems like ACC.
Correct. Not reliable. I can't even consistently switch it off so I can just drive in peace with cruise control and a gentle hand on the steering. It complains every 10 seconds about taking control of the steering.
@@KP_Oz then you are doing something wrong. You can easily turn it of, just use the menu or the shortcut to the assistant systems, which is on the stock on 5he left 😉
Thanks for the video. I would like to ask, with active lane assist, will the car always in the middle of the lane or it will swing a little bit right or left on the street?
I am not sure what you need in order to get the performance monitor in the car menu. My guess is that it either depends on driving profile selection & dynamic chassis control or will get enabled with the R-Line sport package.
It needs a lot of testing and improvement. Feels like a beta launch and reduces user experience imho. I have tried to switch off lane assist and that is quite unpredictable as well. It just wants to do what it wants to do. VW please publish a proper work instruction on how to switch of lane assist. Just bought a 2021 Touareg 210 R-Line.
Auto Rocks! But was too expensive at that time. Check the new videos on the Mercedes all-terrain which is an automatic. AT is much better for assistance systems. So you are right:)!
This is awesome!!! Does it require park assist installed? I m about to get a brand new passat, but in my country they dont sell the park assist anymore. The only version avaiable is the highline.
Marcos Vinicius You need lane assist and ideally also ACC (adaptive cruise control). Lane assist is based on the camera sitting right next to the rear mirror. Except for configuration constraints I don’t think you need park assist since it is based on other sensors.
Could of please do one on a 2019 Toyota Corolla hatchback they introduced a new Lane tracing assist which is made to keep you in the lane and I would like to see its limits
cool but teslas is way more sensitive. this is more like "I try to keep you between the lines, no matter what" tesla is like "I will steer the ca like you would"
On a highway staying between the lines actually works pretty good, the B8 even learned your favourite position in the lane. Do you know a good video which shows what Teslas are capable of doing with the autopilot?
You‘re right, if a driver does not know about the limits of the system. It’s definitely not an autopilot. Feel free to share with your friends & family to educate about today’s assistance systems.
We are nerds and we test systems because we are curious about their limits. What you do with these insights is up to you... We explicitly warn NOT to do this during daily driving due to the fact that a bottle does not make an autopilot out of the Passat lane assist system.
Best video on the subject by far.

@Aaron Rogelio It worked and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy:D

The ACC and Lane Assist in my Arteon is good, but, I've had it let go on me a few times going around turns. It doesn't seem to want to stay engaged.

@@erebostd yes mate worked it out last week. The trick was to never use the main ACC on/off switch, instead use Set/Res.

What menu do you have on the Infotaiment system ? Have you unloked that view ?

I turned the lane assist on while sitting on the back seat on the autobahn
I hope you did not sit for too long on the back seat ;)
please Show us the video

Thanks for the video, just what I was looking for. Too bad the system doesn't signal the driver about switching lane assist off.
Thank you! You‘re welcome! It does signal, but only visually - lane assist symbol turns from green/on to white/off.
Aha, good info, thanks!
why did you buy it in manual? I feel like that was a big mistake (my opinion because we have auto and it's soo good)

It's sad to see, what it can't do..
But it's nice to see, that my Passat isn't the only one with that behavior.
