The reason the 1080P is worse on the Wave is because it lineskips in this mode with aliasing/moire. Good video btw! I've also been using Topaz VEAI for several years now on the Chronos 1.4 and it makes a big difference.

The reason the wave is overexposed at f1.5: you compare 1000fps (=1/2000sec shutter speed on the chronos) to 420fps (=1/840sec shutter speed on the wave).
Two different exposures because of the shutter speed.

I mean that makes sense, but even when setting the Chronos to 500fps, the lighting was the same. But when changing the fps in the Wave, you notice immediately the light being changed. Its almost like the Chronos sticks to whatever the highest frames it can shoot and keeps that lighting. I definitely described this poorly.

@@harrisontheeditor I have used the Wave once and know it has a fixed ISO at 250.
Maybe the chronos changes the ISO to adjust the exposure?

The chronos was a loss leader purchase for me. It's way too slow to actually use on a set, there is no demand for renting it. But, I was able to create a lot of really nice looking shots with it to add to my show reel, which helped land me more jobs. I think that's kind of the sweet spot for creatives and the chronos. I wish their newest model was in a box shape with more mounting points, Kron tech seems to still be straddling two different user groups with a single product.

What if you slow down 4k video by two or three times from a wave camera through topaz?
    To catch up with chronos
Or is this not the best idea?
Now the question is which camera to take, and there is a good offer for the wave
I will be grateful for your answer 🤗

And just like Jerma, it's one of the most creative, all in one, tiny... I mean compact, cameras I've used.

i really think that you will need 1000fps the most of the time, but i would not give away one of these..now you can choose the right camera for the specific kind of job. By the way...Krontech has now 2 new cameras which offer 4k.

I did see the new cameras and i also did find out there a "secret" were you can do 830 some frames on the Wave in better/more clear HD 1080. But ya it's nice that Kron brought back some competition!

    Great Camera comparison.
Do you know which telephoto zoom lens with good brightness and which works in manual focus for the Chronos?
