Your Sink Faucet in Macro Super Slow Motion...
Today I used the Freefly Ember s5k to film my sink in slow motion, but then I also put a super duper season pass macro lens on it and got really really close-up surprisingly interesting shots of, yes you guessed it, water falling.

You might get the idea, or not, after the video, but personally using a speedbooster on the Freefly Ember s5k is the most, must have, awesome, attachment/accessory you can have for this camera. Yes some of the bigger fireworks are out of focus. I thought it would be easier to to use the 135mm T2.2 for closer up shots of them, but I think I just made things harder on myself. Hi there, I have the same lens, but only renamed under the brand Carenar. I have been looking for a adapter for some time myself now, but although the Petri breach looks much like the EF the distance needs to be different. Petri breach mounts are available, but they ask way to much for them, compared to other mounts. It can be worth buying one, but if you only have one lens, it's a costly adventure! Good luck at making more video's, and hope you find a adapter!

    So, your math wasn't wrong, it was just led astray. I did the math myself, and got a similar-ish answer. BUT it seems that Davini Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro don't have a MS timer, it's actually HH:MM:SS:FF; FF being frames. I also went and did a distance variance, because the bottle cap wasn't on the measuring tape, and so it had an enlarging factor. I would say 1 inch on the camera, is actually 1.1 inches. I counted 6 frames from 7inch to 6inch, 1 second / 24 frames = .0416 seconds x 6 frames is = .25 sec. To account the distance variable, .25 / 1.1 = .227 seconds per inch. .227 sec / 148.458 (3563/24) = .001529 sec per inch; 1 second / .001529 sec = 654.022 / 12in = 54.5 ft/s or 16.6 m/s or 37.2 mph That speed also is very close for the 6 inch to 5 inch

    Have you looked at the old sony ZV-1? 1000fps for $700ish? Definitely has limitations, I'm just curious which limitations exclude it from this list for you. (I've mostly used it for hummingbird hovering shots, which is all I personally wanted high speed for anyway...)

    • @chinitopinoy1726
      @chinitopinoy1726 2 місяці тому

      ZV1 has way worse resolution/aliasing/moire and compression than the Freefly and Wave.

    • @harrisontheeditor
      @harrisontheeditor 2 місяці тому

      In truth there was a lot of limitations for the ZV-1 or little vloggy as we call it. But little ZV-1 isn't what I'd classify as a highspeed camera, but more a camera that has highspeed settings, which is why it wasn't on the list. If i were to include this camera, then I would also probably include the other Sony cybershot that does 1000fps, the Sony FS700, and that one Canon that did 1000fps, as well as some of the newer Sony's that do higher fps. But these two cameras were specifically designed to getting into highspeed shooting specifically, which is why both companies are special as they each took a different approach. Top reasons is it doesn't have a global shutter, interchangeable lenses, more selective frame rates and the quality isn't really there. I'd compare the ZV-1 to more of the FS700, which is something I had for a short time. Idk if that answered the question, but it was a good question you asked and if someone else wants to hop in and correct me or yell at me, go for it!

    The chronos was a loss leader purchase for me. It's way too slow to actually use on a set, there is no demand for renting it. But, I was able to create a lot of really nice looking shots with it to add to my show reel, which helped land me more jobs. I think that's kind of the sweet spot for creatives and the chronos. I wish their newest model was in a box shape with more mounting points, Kron tech seems to still be straddling two different user groups with a single product.
