This is an excellent video - very detailed steps, worked perfectly on my '04 Santa Fe. The steps to access the 10mm bolt holding the key switch was really helpful, some other videos had more complicated work-arounds. I would caution others to take great care disconnecting the harness connectors to avoid damaging them. The middle one is especially hard to disconnect because the harness is too tight.
really great step by step video!! i love how you explained everything. i feel extremely confident in trying this on my own now. i will let you know how it goes even lol
Sorry to be offtopic but does someone know a way to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb forgot the account password. I love any tricks you can offer me
@Troy Kyle Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and im trying it out atm. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
thanks man. Have a 2004 hyundai santa fe. Took literally an hour struggling just to get the both bolts back on the door handle. Had to first put in the keyhole inside the door handle, screw both top and bottom slightly, then insert it tightly. I don't have the long extension you have for the wrench to fit through the round black hole, so I had to use a 10 mm socket to tighten it manually. Then put the rod back in and lock it. Putting back the door was another battle lol. a seemingly 10 minute task took me two hours. Oh well, at least it was my first time doing it.
dathip Would this video also apply to the rear drivers side door? For those who have done this would you recommend an experienced car guy do this? I don’t do this stuff everyday but I’m also not an idiot. Willing to try it.
You're video was very helpful. (First time I've ever left a UA-cam comment!) Thank you so much for taking time out to explain this. I truly appreciate it!!

I did rear passenger side door, the issue with the rear is the window regulator really blocks off your access. You can squeeze in to try and remove the bolts, but it's super tight and leads to a lot of cussing. I got it without taking off the window regulator, but I almost wish I had paid a guy to do it after it was done.
You forgot to put the knockout plug back in for the door handle bolt. No matter how loud I yelled at the monitor you didn't hear me. Thanks for the vid!
Nice video. By a weird coincidence, my Santa Fe is the same color as the one in the video, and my replacement door handle is also the same color as the one in the video . . .
