I just did this same thing to my Ram. Same color as yours, watched this video dozens of times for “inspiration”. Bought a brand new set of take offs from a new truck for $1000 with tpms. Absolutely different truck. 3.92 rear with Hemi. Great upgrade!
Do you know if those wrangler tires will fit on the 20” chrome wheels? I have a 21 bighorn and want those tires but want to keep my 20” factory chrome rims. My truck will be leveled before tire install
My friend has a completely stock truck and he put 275/60r20 Duratracs on it without any rubbing. They measure a few tenths of an inch shorter than the 275/70r18s on the factory Rebel wheels. So in your case, you’d have even more space for clearance with 20” wheels!
Ohio is very flat and my commute to work is almost completely on the highway, so that definitely helps. Also not sure if it’s just in my head, but Amsoil Synthetic in the differentials and Redline in the transfer case seemed to decrease driveline resistance, too!
You think I'll struggle if I have 3.21s on my 2022 3.6? Some v6s come with 275/65/18s with 3.21s stock. Will 275/70r18 rebel wheels make a big difference?
@@Carl0sjim3n3z yeah, if I’m being completely honest I liked driving the truck a bit less after going up a size. Better to look at lol, but I think the 3.6 is perfectly balanced with the stock size. Going up, even though it was just a bit, made it feel a tad underpowered to me. All up to personal preference though, of course!
@@Carl0sjim3n3z I had a hemi before this. I like them both, just for different things. Since having kids I mostly commute and do a lot less towing, so the v6 was a better fit. Still has around 7k tow capacity and better mpg. I also got tired of breaking exhaust manifold studs. Had 160k on my hemi when I sold it and it had gone through 4 sets by that point.
Have had a built to serve 3.6 with 3.21 gears for 8 months and just rolled over 14000miles and lucky to get 20mpg on hwy around 70mph. So those gears help a lot all around and wish I could swap. Do you have a aftermarket exhaust on truck and keep with the updates!
Very inexpensive option from the factory, but so few trucks have them! I’ve also found that 65mph is the sweet spot on the Highway, it falls off reasonably quickly from there. And totally stock exhaust!
I have the 3.6L. I Added a Jegs throttle body spacer, an AFE intake, and a pedal commander. My mpg stays above 20mpg at all times. I think with these mods will def help with these wheels/tires. Impressive performance and mpg gains after my mods.
Thanks for the video! I have the exact same truck, color and all. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while. Having a tough time finding Rebel Rims in my area. Great Looking Truck👍🏽
Thanks, I appreciate it! It took me almost 6 months to find a good deal-the set I got was only $400. Actually ended up selling the stock wheels for $450 on marketplace, too!
@@winniedoesyoutube I was at the Ram Dealership yesterday and saw some of the new Rebels come with all black rims, instead of the black/silver. Hopefully those come on the market soon.
Even with the oversized tires, it’s pretty consistently 22-23mpg on the highway, but I do between 65-70 mph. City driving has been closer to 19-20, but living in Ohio, most of the driving is highway speeds. With the stock tires, and with the rebel tires, I noticed MPGs went down quite a bit if you go any faster than 70, though!
@@winniedoesyoutube oh wow that’s awesome! Not bad for the 3.6! I had a 2015 and saw 25mpg on the highway but it was 2wd. Im excited to get one im actually going towards the V6 just because I know how the hemi is with fuel! Best of luck! Once I get one I’ll reach out for ideas and tips!
@@joehouck13 sounds good, good luck with the purchase! I came from a 2009 Hemi-I decided on the the v6 because I use it for 90% commuting, and with the 3.55 rear gears it was rated with a higher towing capacity than my Hemi. I would recommend staying away from 3.21 gears and the v6 if you plan to tow, though!
It would more depend on the ride height of your truck. Anything over the 275/70r18 size and you’d need to consider a lift or level kit for proper clearance.
Changing the tire size could, but I don’t inherently think changing the wheels would (I obviously can’t guarantee anything, best bet is calling your local dealer)

Great to hear-I would imagine that’s a perfect combination with the 3.92 gears as well. Nice truck!
Hello, same boat with a Big Horn 4x4.
Did you have to trim the wheel well without them rubbing? Thanks
No rubbing at all (even at full lock going over bumps, etc). Bolted right up with no issues
Where did you find these? I want to get the same wheels and similar tires for my 2020 Laramie Longhorn.
Got lucky with Facebook marketplace. $400 for a set with TPMS and about 10k miles left on the tires. Took a while before finding them!

Not a big difference IMO but you’d notice it. No reason you can’t buy the wheels and keep the stock tire size if you’re concerned
@@winniedoesyoutube I think I'm gonna stick to 275 65 r18 duratrac. Stock size. I don't think the 3.21 gears are much help with 33s.

@winniedoesyoutube would you trade your truck in for a hemi? Also I think the v6 cannot handle any tire over 32". The engineers did their homework.

The machined part of the wheels complimented the chrome nice on my truck in my opinion

Correct, no leveling kit. Even the sensors worked. Only thing is the speedometer is off by about 3-4% because the larger diameter tires
