......AND that is how it starts....you get that rush from the little drop and next thing you know your dropping/climbing bigger and bigger and you are on One Tons and 40s!!
Yeah it was super fun. Hoping to get back soon and push it a little more. Still nervous I guess figuring out what stock can handle without pushing it so much I break or damage something.
Cool vid man! We'll be hitting Gulches soon in our Ram TRX. Curious, do you know the names of the blue trails you went on at the end of the vid? We're thinking blue trails are going to be where we spend most of our time out there but we've seen 1-2 blues (sidewinder/etc) that are too narrow for our rig.
I drove out there last Sept. to Gulches from AZ to wheel with my dad. Fun little park, but they need to map the trails better. Out here in the southwest it is wide open land where you can go wheeling just about everywhere. You should use 4 low more often in that Rubicon - it is much easier on the drivetrain and also allows you to concentrate more on the obstacles. We use low range whenever we are on trails that require less than 30 mph speeds.
Now that I have a JL rubicon, I've been looking around to see where I can play around with it's capabilities. So far, I've done small parts of SCAR. But these badges of honor has me intrigued. After a little more time on some trails and getting a good feel for the Jeep, I'd love to try to collect a couple of these badges. I'm on the northern part of SC near Charlotte, and it looks like Gulches is the only SC badge to earn? Watching you do this with your stock rubicon gives me some confidence I can do it too!
I want to go up there and do this trail. I just bought a Gladiator and want to see how it does on this trail. Great content, I just subscribed. I am going to do the Badge of Honor trail in Florida later this year. I am trying to get a channel together, what cameras and editing program do you use?
Hey! Thank you so much for the comments and the sub! That means a ton! I film with a variety of things. My main camera is a Canon 6Dm2, I also have a Gopro Hero 7 and a DJI Action Camera. I use Adobe Premiere to edit everything.

Thank you so much!
Great video Matt. I was the same way when I first got my Rubicon. I had to get used it. Man, this trail looks so much fun.

Awesome video Matt!! Just loved the comment from the Jeep group “ it’s a Rubicon “ lol!! Can’t wait to see what this build holds!
Haha yeah, I mean how do you argue with that! I'm excited too!
That’s so cool! I can’t wait to go on some adventures with you in it!
Thanks for the preview. I’m heading there tomorrow of a small group. Nice to know what we’re up against.
Fantastic video Matt! Great to see how these stock JK Rubicons perform!
Thanks! I'm sure I could have pushed it harder, but I'm still trying to figure out what it can do without breaking anything!
@@SimplyMustGo Definitely, especially if it’s your daily driver. You did a great job👍
Great times, and memories with the kid! 👍🏻
Nice trail!!! Love the new Jeep!!
Thanks! Can’t wait to see you all and let you see it in person
That place looks awesome! Poor pup, :D.
Yeah it was a blast! Captain is doing fine. He’ll be happy to go back without his cone of shame

It’s a fun little park for sure and I agree. We found ourselves lost a couple times before we got the hang of it!
Beautiful Jeep!
Thank you!
We have got to get out to gulches!
Yes. Yes we do!

Yeah it’s the only badge of honor place in SC. It has a lot of different trails from green to black. Stay on the green if you’re stock…
@@SimplyMustGo stock rubicon, thanks for the heads up!
Thanks man for throwing the ole yj in the video
✌🏾✌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾✌🏾✌🏾

Any (and every) time!
Thank you
Have fath in your jeep. Great video man
Thanks. Yeah I’m learning just how capable it really is!
Will you be out this year. Im riding along with the lowcountry wranglers club members, my jeeps in the shop
Yeah I’ll be hitting as many spots and trails as my schedule will allow.
In the old days people ran the rubicon trail in stock jeeps with NDTs, no lift, no lockers, 60-70 hp. The stock Jeep rubicon’s are very capable.
Very true!
Lol he said “we’re in a rubicon we’re gonna go” glad you had fun man. Stock Jeeps can do quite a bit. Have you lifted yet?
Haha. Thanks! And no. I haven’t lifted it yet. Still stock. It’s done everything I’ve thrown at it so far. I did add some rock sliders but that’s it.
@@SimplyMustGo check some a my videos out man- we need to go wheeling come to Windrock
5:38 we got barefoot racing out of GA
They did awesome!

How do you get the badge of honor? We went thru this weekend and no one said anything about a badge lol
You need the Jeep Badge of Honor app and when you get there, you check in on the app.
What happened the the German Shepherd ?
He was neutered, and the cone was to prevent him from licking the spot.
Matt you should of said that our Jeep was leaking in the comments
But your Jeep wasn’t leaking in the comments. Only on here trail. 🤣
great video. now thats how you test a stock rubi. lol
Thank you! It was fun but also nerve racking. Haha. Hoping to take it back there again soon.
Awesome thanks for sharing 👍👍👍✌✌✌@thatbeardedjeepguy
Hey man! Thanks!
😄
Peer pressure is a sob lol
Hahaha. It is! 🤣
why did you cut your dogs nuts off
Stop complaining and enjoy Jeep stuff in your JEEP
I mean, if you’re in South Carolina, come up and do the Dickie bell badge of honor trail in Uwharrie national park NC
It’s on my short list for sure.
