Funny ! I just installed a battery today and posted a video about it today…😂
I ran a lithium iron battery, which is a type of lithium ion battery, for about 7 years in my Evo Softail. It was a mixed bag...since I had zero draw on the battery on that bike I didn't have to keep it on a trickle charger. There was one stretch where the bike sat for a good 7 months without being charged, and it fired up just like if I had run the bike the day before. The major downside is cold weather operation - they are pretty terrible in that situation. You have to leave your lights on for several minutes to warm the battery up before it will even start.

I like to see the follow up video to see how well the battery performs. I’ve got a new bike so it will be sometime before I need a replacement so your follow up video will be of interest to me.
I put one on the Witch about 2 years ago because it was the only thing available at that time. It works just fine but I am concerned about the possibility of it catching fire.
I have had one from Harley Davidson for several years now. Usually you can revive them with special chargers if they go dead. The cold is an issue. Hard to start if too cold which is a bummer now that I moved to a colder climate.
Mike get a lithium battery maintainer for it. Just be sure your shop stays above freezing.

Make sure to run the battery low on power to see if that safety saver feature works properly on it.
Lithium batteries actually handle deeper discharges better than lead acid batteries. (Or AGM)
I was skeptical when I bought a lithium battery for my 03 Dyna in the spring of 2023. I tried AGM batteries but the bike always seemed to crank slower than it should. I was beginning to think the starter was getting tired. Since installing the lithium it cranks faster and stronger and the battery holds between 13 and 14 volts when parked. The AGM batteries only showed about 12.5 volts when parked.
That wouldn't be a good battery to get if you are living in Minnesota.
With AGMs on the market there is no reason, other than weight, to purchase a lithium one.
the new generation lithium batteries work much better.. I got one too.
I ran a lithium ion in my wife's softtail rocker c. Lasted 2 1/2 years. Paided a little over one hundred dollars more than stock harley battery. Local harley dealer recommended it. They checked with manufacturer and said it was safe to use trickle charger on. Went back with lead acid battery. Lesson learned for me.
Did you have any issues other than it only lasting 2.5 yrs?
Only issue we had was during cold winter months, it was weak to turn motor over the first couple of attempts. We were told that was normal for li-ion batteries during cold weather, if left unused for a while. Once we attempted to start it, give it 30 seconds to let the battery warm up. Then it would spin the motor normally. That was the only weird thing we had an issue with.
The reason I said lesson learned is because, with lead acid, we normally get 4 to 5 years out of them using trickle charger.
Only thing I've found Li batteries good for is lightening my wallet.

Is it too good to be true?
