I cook and clean like this all the time. It makes me feel good to dress up like this, and I feel professional dressing like this.
I love this idea of a cleaning routine!!!:) 💐Also, I LOVE how your videos encourage us to embrace motherhood and being a homemaker and find the true joy and fulfillment that life can bring!!!:) It is SO rare in our culture anymore.

I have the same piano player figurine that you had in your vanity! It was my great grandmother's and when she moved out of her house and into our home she gave it to me. She just passed away a few days ago, but I'll treasure the little things like that forever ♥️

Omg I've been meaning to do this. I got the idea from Gilmore Girls, when they were talking about Donna Reed. Me and my sister would watch The Donna Reed Show and I Love Lucy in the mornings while we were getting ready for school and I noticed how they were doing housework in heels and pearls. I want to try it (I live in a dorm), but something always comes up.

A married couple in next town that R Archeologist. Local newspaper did a piece on how She loves the style of the 1920's right down to the cut of her hair which was short with bangs (flapper style) He always wore proper hats, & overcoats. Was nice 2 C them walking their dogs in that era of clothing.

How was it doing a 50s housewife with a young child? I have three children under the age of 4 (youngest is only a month old) and it's difficult to get anything done.
I guess it depends on each person’ s personality and also on time schedule. They were indeed rigorous. And they didn’t see anything as difficult, each and every chore was normal, and they were raised to give the impression that everything is easy.
I know female doctors with more than 3 children, and being good housewives too, so it’ s not impossible. Maybe you should just find your own comfortable daily life.
You do what you can when you can❤️

First off, put your hair up. You're going to be working. 👏👏 Chop! Chop! They would cover their hair so dust and dirt stays out of it. You would be wearing a house dress and full apron for cleaning; not a party dress.
