@@KarolGacek18 i do think that part of the reason why some of the X movies have aged better than others is because we don’t really get superhero movies like that anymore, and with that absence our hearts have grown fonder to the style. The things those movies did well is amplified while the bad things aren’t focused on. that’s not even factoring in nostalgia, which is so strong for that era in media right now people are acting like Star Wars Episodes 1 and 2 are actually 4 star movies lmao
One nitpick about the mutant kids in Logan. Colossus, Wolverine and his kids are the front line tank class of Mutants that can soak all the damage. Most mutants have normal human durability with crap powers, ranged powers or vague mind powers.
What I like about the X-Men movies is their sense of individuality, and their ability to think outside the box Most MCU movies look the same, and they almost never take risks Plus, they never tried to follow the MCU's formula or its tropes, especially after it became a trend They never relied on nostalgia, the tone always kept consistent, and they always focused on the present Even Dark Phoenix kept that way They kept their sense of individuality. Even the score was different in each movie
Call me biased because in 2009 a 6 year old me was introduced to the MCU/superhero movies through the X-men but I loved the dark Phoenix especially the team up on the train with magneto and his evil brotherhood of mutants with the X-men to protect Jean from those creepy alien things yeah it was a crappy send off to the X-men but to me it was a heartfelt send off to the very lovable characters I grew up watching. The AUDACITY to put Deadpool behind any of these films besides Logan baffles me. Honestly it's probably tied for first with Logan. Even Deadpool 2 still better than the other X-men movies.
I can't believe First Class is so high on the list, it is hard to overlook how thoroughly it betrays the source material. The decision to center the relationship between Magneto Charles and a bafflingly rewritten Mystique, made the franchise unrecognizable to long time fans and doomed the sequels by forcing the film makers to shoehorn that relationship into the storylines they were adapting.
Look, I'm all about the source material and I hope the MCU starts with the REAL first class as it's my personal favourite lineup. Still, this movie captured the FEEL of the X-Men more than any other movie. It felt like a movie about the team, where Havok, Banshee and Beast were given something to do in a way side characters in other X-Men movies never did. Tbh, I don't really love ANY of Fox's X-Men films but this is the only one that felt like it was about an ensemble and not Wolverine or Mystique.

@@KarolGacek18 i do think that part of the reason why some of the X movies have aged better than others is because we don’t really get superhero movies like that anymore, and with that absence our hearts have grown fonder to the style. The things those
movies did well is amplified while the bad things aren’t focused on.
that’s not even factoring in nostalgia, which is so strong for that era in media right now people are acting like Star Wars Episodes 1 and 2 are actually 4 star movies lmao
One nitpick about the mutant kids in Logan. Colossus, Wolverine and his kids are the front line tank class of Mutants that can soak all the damage. Most mutants have normal human durability with crap powers, ranged powers or vague mind powers.
Deadpool 2 at 9 is outrageous imo easily top 5
I was 12 when X-men Origins Wolverine came out and that shit ruled.
19:56 come on the train scene is fantastic, you can’t deny that
Also, the visual affects and production value.
What I like about the X-Men movies is their sense of individuality, and their ability to think outside the box
Most MCU movies look the same, and they almost never take risks
Plus, they never tried to follow the MCU's formula or its tropes, especially after it became a trend
They never relied on nostalgia, the tone always kept consistent, and they always focused on the present
Even Dark Phoenix kept that way
They kept their sense of individuality. Even the score was different in each movie
Deadpool 2 at 9th place just broke my heart 💔
I will give the Wolverine a rewatch because I believe Deadpool too, and the wolverine should be swapped in the ranking. That’s just my opinion.
12:39 where can I watch the rouge cut?
Call me biased because in 2009 a 6 year old me was introduced to the MCU/superhero movies through the X-men but I loved the dark Phoenix especially the team up on the train with magneto and his evil brotherhood of mutants with the X-men to protect Jean from those creepy alien things yeah it was a crappy send off to the X-men but to me it was a heartfelt send off to the very lovable characters I grew up watching. Again it was a crappy movie but I loved it and I still do
i think they are different universes.
First class trilogy universe
Xmen 1&2 universe
Wolverine - Logan universe
Last stand is logans dream, never happened.
DOFP multiverse film
I think its technically two separate timelines and not universes due to the events of the days of future past movie.
This just...isn't correct at all in my op 😂
Not Deadpool 2 at 9😂😂
Quick silver didn't stop time in Apocalypse time was just slowed down items were still moving like the explosion.
Good video. I liked the ranking for the most part. I feel DP1 should be higher... 3rd (or 2nd?) maybe. The rest can stay where the are.
Deadpool 2 at #9 is nuts
X men origins is cool, the fight in the end was dope
DP2 is mostly just Ryan Reynolds Ryan Reynoldsing everybody 😂 that’s so accurate😂😂
X2 is the best movie in my opinion.
W it has so many amazing moments
X2 definitely has stood the test of time.
Logan is #3 for me. I just can’t put it above Days of Future Past or X2 because I’ve only been able to bring myself to watch it twice in the 7 years since it came out.. it’s an essentially perfect movie but so painful to watch
I’ve only seen it twice because I can’t take it 🤦🏽♂️
They were definitely better than I remembered. I enjoyed this rewatch. I would rank Deadpool 2 higher, right with Deadpool 1.
It took him the very last xmen video to stop saying "snikt snikt" LOL
I do believe your pretty close with your thoughts on where these movies go. I've been watching these movies over the years and some have held my attention but some have not
Deadpool 2 at 9 is crazy 😅😂😂😂
The AUDACITY to put Deadpool behind any of these films besides Logan baffles me. Honestly it's probably tied for first with Logan. Even Deadpool 2 still better than the other X-men movies.
"We did not need to see Channing Tatum ever."
I wholeheartedly agree!
X Men franchise-4 Razzies

Logan was the best followed by the Deadpool movies, the rest of the X-men movies stink honestly
This is actually an accurate list. I often tend to disagree with your guys ranking.
Such a fresh way to review a series
I'd switch The Wolverine and Deadpool 2 and that would be closer to mine.
I can just hear all little kids screaming chew it and do it now lol😅
Hope we get Sinister and then Krakoa in the MCU.
I was always upset that instead of Colossus vs Juggernaut in X3, they gave us Kity Pryde vs Juggernaut
I actually really enjoyed Wolverine Origins, other than them fumbling the character arcs before the third act! Great cast, and almost a very awesome story
Gonna try watch all the marvel and mcu movies before secret wars since llooks like ill have plenty tine
Still like Dark Phoenix it way better than X men 3.
