🎬 About the Project
As the director, I'm thrilled to share this ambitious project with you. "Titanfall: New Frontiers" is a revolutionary approach to filmmaking, making storytelling more accessible to all. We've pushed boundaries, and we can't wait for you to experience the result.
📱 Innovative Production
Our team recorded all the dialogue and facial performances over Discord using smartphones, and we cleaned them up with the help of software like Faceware Studio and Descript. Motion capture was achieved with the Rokoko Smart Suit Pro II, while animation, lighting, cinematography, and rendering were all accomplished with Unreal Engine 5.1.
🎥 Post-Production Magic
The magic continued in post-production, where we used a variety of tools from the Adobe Suite, as well as assets from ActionVFX and Triune Digital for editing, compositing, and sound design. We added the final touches and cinematic quality using tools from Maxon and Red Giant, along with AI upscaling with Topaz Labs Video Enhance AI. We even utilized Stable Diffusion to bring scale to some of the shots.

Believe it or not, all of this was achieved with a small team, some smartphones, and a single computer. The result is a cinematic sci-fi epic that we can't wait to share with you.

Honestly, some professionally made movies and shows sometimes have terrible sound mixing too lmao.
Animations were definitely NOT 50/50. It was super clunky, it didn’t feel natural, they jumped around at times with complete disregard for physics. I think it’s quite good for a first time large scale fan project made in a short period of time, but calling it perfect is not truthful either.
ngl the va's were a bit too close to their mics and a some echo would make voice acting 10/10

The last scene shows the timeline of this series. Seeing that Droze is still a 6-4 member, it's at least before Frontier Defense.
Droze's Helmet at Frontier Defense has a mushroom cloud pattern, not 64.

I really like how the IMC characters are portrayed as Human beings in this, not just mindless pawns of an evil organisation.
I love all the subtle eye movements and imperfections in the skin for the characters, really brings them to live

I think reducing the shake of the camera and reducing the framerate down to 24FPS would go a long way as well. I’d also like to see them take a little more care with scenes such as the wall running and the Titan jumping; there was no sense of weight or acceleration and deceleration, just switching from one speed to another.
Reading droz and davis's primaries and abilities was hilarius.
It was great! Definitely some small improvements could be made, but it’s really impressive for a team and budget as small as you have! Can’t wait for the next episode

i love the fact that Droz and Davis's ability is "being pretty darn cool"
some small touchups that could be made is well obviously animation, but it's acceptable since well, the budget it super low and it's just a fan animation, but another one is small clipping issues that appear here and they, example, during this scene: 18:56 you can clearly see the chin of the imc soldier clipping in the costume from time to time. Another one at 22:34 the ball is inside the kid. Apart that loved this, good work!

Don't take my word for this but the animation might get better in the coming episodes. Working on a project for over a year, even professionals will learn and get better at their craft throughout the project.

You know, the voice acting isn’t the best, the animation isn’t spectacular but it’s still deserving of appreciation and admiration for what fans of really anything can do with just passion alone, I hope work continues, i wouldn’t mind more!
I just hope the schizophrenics can handle this one.
I never thought I’d be “that guy” but I think switching to 24 FPS would help this production a lot. If you still need a higher frame rate for high-intensity scenes maybe switch to 48 FPS for those scenes, but I think 24 FPS would help with the way motion feels. The camera also shakes wayyyy too much. There’s also a lacking feeling of sense of acceleration and deceleration and weight in a lot of their major movements like the jumping to the wall to wall run, or the titans jumping.
Overall though for such a large project in such a short time, and with the minimal skills I imagine everyone has, it’s very good. The dialogue isn’t the best but still very respectable for a fan project. I’m excited for the future episodes and the improvements you make along the way 😄

im 17, and i have been in love with Titanfall since my mom bought me a brand new game i had never heard of called 'Titanfall 2' in 2016. I've loved it since. Thank you for continuing the story, I admire your creativity.

Okay, for a fan made series, this is pretty good. I do have thoughts, but seriously, this is amazing.
@Plot Coaition: im grateful for your hard work, but it seems that tis project needed more than one man at the creative helm.
Tons of critique I'm itching to give... like how mocap should always have manual touchup afterwards otherwise it's super distracting, how certain lines/exposition felt really out of place, and a lot of line reads had stammering while feeling like there wasn't much rehearsal/feedback...
BUT, with no budget, just a bunch of fans collaborating entirely remotely, and not just for a one-off 'short', but five 25-30 minute videos? That's pretty damn impressive on its own, so I'll take finished over perfect any day (especially if trying to make it perfect means it never releases).
I'm less interested in tearing it down and more interested in wanting to make something of my own, and with all the free programs and tech and PEOPLE out there today who want to actually make something, indie projects feel more achievable now than ever. And I'm glad that was part of the message at the start of the episode.

Definitely. I would say the animations for example; the two pilots dueling (the north star launching into the air) they could definitely improve the animations. But I would like to see less cheesy lines.

And I also have a few questions: do these 5 episodes count as the first season?; are there any plans for season 2?; are the graphics improving during these 5 episodes? I liked this episode in terms of the plot, I have no complaints, I also like the graphics, but here I will express my subjective opinion and say that the animation sags in some places, and the face animation could be better. Thank you again for your efforts and this series as a product. P.S.: I hope to see an increase in the game's online.

Great work guys incredible that a passion project is this well done. if I may give some constructive criticism, the plot so far is amazing the things that I noticed being a bit off were the lip-syncing, the models being a bit shaky and the vocal audio not seeming to come from the direction the character is talking from. I know this is indie and I think you guys have done great so far just want to offer up some suggestions for you guys to work on
The passion for the material is palpable here. Really great job seeing it all the way through with no budget, this must have taken a lot of time. You should be proud.
