Truly enjoy watching your videos. Haven’t played with my ‘63 in years since the engine failed. You know your stuff and wish you were my neighbor. Haha. Look forward to your next vid of the ‘63 👍
My 59 is running the Rochester and it's pretty worn out. I'd put a kit in it, but I know the shafts are worn and it's still going to leak vacuum. In your opinion, should I send it off for overhaul, or put in a Carter/Edelbrock? I heard you mention Linwood? Where are they located?
Definitely just overhaul orginal. It's a real pain to deal with tv rod in aftermarket. They are in Lynnwood, ca if you'd like you can always send it to me and I can take it to them. Email me at CadillacCoachWorks@yahoo.com
Being a mechanical idiot: I have heard this slight bing you just mentionned when I accelerate my high compression Pontiacs hard. What does cause that and can it harm the engine? What would be a simple remedy? Love this car! It is a pity that painters do not give a damn protecting things like these driprails against rust. I know this takes time but is always worth it on the long run. I spent several hours cleaning and protecting the driprails of a Pontiac coupe that i fixed a few years ago. No rust or cracking paint so far.
