Love that everyone here has work related comments and questions and I'm just here trying to figure out what to use for my Detroit Become Human cosplay lmao
Oh, man. This would be awesome to integrate with car interiors, seats specifically. If there's an application that can invert the power from the car, I'm all over this! Ahhh!!!!! Jackpot!
Joely, you are in luck! We make 12V inverters that can either directly connect to the car's battery, or even a switch (sold by 3rd parties) so you can turn them on from the dash. Our inverters can power up to 700sqin, so prepare to go crazy!
I remember seeing this product back in about 2006 2007 couple years before the tram movie came out I remember seeing it sold in kind of a tape like that on the Internet and then all the sudden sort of just disappear if you can find it I wondered if the company had sold and then started marking it more towards safety equipment and stuff like that but I didn’t see become available again to the public until about 23 years after the Tron movie came out
Not really. Just pass the cost onto the end user. For a personal project, its still worth it to make a one of a kind thing. Just save your pocket change.
Thanks for your question! Yes, due to our proprietary materials and technique, the entire panel can be heat bonded with an iron or heat press without damaging the light panel.
kani_mar please send us an email with your design requirements. It is likely possible. Feel free to include any attachments or artwork that we can reference to info@Ellumiglow.com
While it can be cut or trimmed, we don't recommend it for permanent applications like this. Also, because it's not meant to throw a lot of light like an LED is, we probably wouldn't recommend in place of a headlight. What this would be better suited for is on a helmet or jacket, backpack or on the bike frame itself for other riders or drivers to see you.
@@EllumiglowPage I think what he meant was he wants to use it inside the headlight as accent lighting around the edge of the headlight and not as the main headlight it self :)
@@dcf476 While it can be used for this, I think you would find that the light output would be lackluster when comparing to bright headlights shining on it. If it's used for a car show or for novelty purposes, then it would be fine to have this light as an accent around the headlight. Just know that it will be washed out with other lights.
It can definitely be used in furniture. We use this same product in custom cars, boats, etc. to add emblems and other elements in seats, visors and headrests. This video was more to share what kind of ideas are possible, but certainly not an exhaustive list.
Yes, we can make it in a cool white. We actually have some new White ON and OFF shapes which can be purchased from our website. They have a heat bonding adhesive which can be instantly applied to nearly any garment.
While it is cuttable for prototyping purposes, if you were to make a production run of a particular clothing line, we would highly recommend having it factory cut. In doing so, we can customize to nearly any shape, size or color.
@@aesopwolf3126 Please send us an email to info@ellumiglow.com and include any measurements, color, and shape you desire. We will get back to you with a full quote for prototyping and any volumes you may need.
There's many different battery packs that range in size and longevity. Some will take disposable batteries while others will use rechargeable batteries. Some inverters simply have a USB-C type input so you can scale your battery to fit your needs.
@@EllumiglowPage Can you give me a rough idea of how long it would last with some rechargeable batteries, 4 hours, 10 hours etc, just a ball park idea is all im after, thanks

T Smith this is a little bit of a variable answer because there are a handful of factors that determine the power requirement, but on average VynEL consumes around 2-5mA per square inch. In larger applications this number is a little lower. The color is fixed, but we can make the panels in virtually any shape, size or color.
Please check the link in the description. We have a number of off-the-shelf shapes to choose from, and can also custom make to nearly any shape, size or color.

if you want to stay sane, don't put the battery holder of these EL-Wire and EL-Panels next to your head. most of these give away a high frequent noise driving you crazy even next to sound system. i used these to lighten up a pirate tricorn and had hellish headache everytime using it.
This. Is. Stupid. Not the least reason is the fact that ELWire is NOT inflexible. Additionally, you can easily sew EL wire into a garment. Fursuiters do it all the time.

I wanna use this for my hair clips on my Hatsune Miku cosplay 😂😂
I know it is kinda off topic but do anyone know of a good place to stream new tv shows online ?
Dude same, figuring out a cosplay for Sky: children of the light
That's because normal adults have jobs.
@@CORZER0 we do too we are just more creative than guys like you that work at a factory and go home to the sportsball game and cheap beer .

a great innovation, However, could it be possible to create something that was like this, but multicolor? like typical led strips?
Can you cut it and have it work??

Think you could use this for or on a POI staff?
Really cool product but the $30/m price point is kinda prohibitive
Not really. Just pass the cost onto the end user. For a personal project, its still worth it to make a one of a kind thing. Just save your pocket change.
Any thoughts on using it to decorate my Rav?
Sure! You could use it for headliners, arm rests, seat backs and more.
Can only the leading edges handle the temps required for heat-bonding, or can the entire piece handle (350F) without compromise? Thanks.
Thanks for your question! Yes, due to our proprietary materials and technique, the entire panel can be heat bonded with an iron or heat press without damaging the light panel.
This is cool
I would be interested if there was a way a specific shape/ quite complex design - could be cut out.

I'm almost done in welding school. I have thought about making welded LED furniture too!!!
Is it possible this will be available in one setting multicolor?
This is only available in a single color, but we can match pretty closely to any pantone in either on or off.
A solar charging option would be nice.
Does the 1M Strip Light come with a power inverter on your website?
Perfect for my application. Is there a way to ship to Italy?
apparently elluminglow only ships to US,Canada and UK
